Chapter 20 [Betrayal]

I walked out and surprisingly bribed the doctor into letting me go. It's amazing how just one name can bring fear into anyone's eyes. Once he heard "Scarlett Sinclair" his eyes widened.

I was now driving to Joseph's place, I don't know why but I just had a feeling he knew where Dimitri was. "Why not just call the man instead of randomly showing up to his house" Eugene said. "Because.....shut up" I said and pulled on to the side of the road. Eugene only chuckled.

The phone rang for a few times until the call went automatically to voice mail. "He's not answering, I'm going" I spat and threw the phone out of rage into the backseat. Eugene sighed knowing his sister already, going up there to cause a scene.

"Pregnant women.... Can't control them, you're crazy sis" he laughed. I shot daggers at him with my eyes and stepped on the break abruptly "WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU JUST CALL ME!?" I spat through gritted teeth. Eugene only flinched at my words "You're crazy man you can settle this some other calm way" he tried reasoning.

"Get out!!" I yelled "What!?" He exclaimed "Get out!! Get out of the car!!!" My voice boomed. "Um excuse me? This is my car!" He yelled back "GET OUT!!!!" I yelled and punched his arm until he finally got out and closed the door. I finally drove off, leaving him desserted on the highway.

I know I was doing wrong but I was too infuriated to think straight right now, I tried not to focus on the throbbing pain in my head and finally arrived outside Joseph's building. I finally reached his penthouse and saw his surprised reaction to seeing me by his door, with anger in my eyes.

"Scarlett!!??" He asked in bewilderment "WHERE IS DIMITRI?" I waisted no time for formalities right now. "Shouldn't you be in the hospital right now?" He asked again. I pushed his hand away, my attention turned to the room's door open up. And as if on cue Dimitri and Melinda walked out.

What I saw shattered my heart. It didn't simply look like they were just talking and why would Joseph allow his enemy do this in his home. In his own room? "What the hell is the meaning of this?" I glared at Dimitri.

Dimitri slowly approached me. "It's not what you think" he spoke softly. I flinched at his touch. My hand instinctively flew across his face "How dare you!?" Both anger and sadness could be heard in my voice.

I turned back to Joseph "And how can you allow them, in your own home!?" I yelled "I didn't know what they were doing!" He protested but I didn't believe him one bit. I saw Melinda smirking behind Dimitri, the blanket covering her body. No this bitch did not look like she went through hell. She could've easily been lying about everything.....

I wasn't going to let her get away with this. Without thinking I walked towards her and smacked her along with grabbing her hair and yanking her towards the door. Both Dimitri and Joseph yelling after me to stop. Both of them protecting her....

I dragged her all along with hearing her calling me names and telling me to leave her alone. The blanket almost falling off her body but I didn't care, this bitch wanted humiliation well she was getting it.

I finally reached the main entramce with all the other residents and guests staring at us in awe. I finally threw Melinda onto the floor "HOW DARE YOU SLEEP WITH MY HUSBAND!" I yelled loud enough for everyone to hear. I heard gasps all over the place.

"FUCK YOU!" Melinda yelled at me. Everyone knew what this was about already. Dimitri and Joseph stopped right behind me and yelled my name at the same time. I walked towards Dimitri and striked him in the cheek once again "AND YOU, I WANT THE DIVORCE" I spat.

Joseph smiled at my words but it soon faded when my hand struck his face as well. Once I was satisfied with the scene I had created, I exited the building. With everyone staring at them and shaking their heads, Dimitri running after me and calling my name but a security guard soon stopped him before he could reach me and people whispering all kinds of unpleasant things about Melinda.
