"Off?"

"Um.. yeah the guy was pretty weird sometimes, it seemed like he was always forgetting something. I guess he was just really forgetful"
__

Vernon wandered down the halls of the school his brain wondering into a pit of nothingness, a normal occurrence for him, since Vernon seemed to never have anything on his mind, which could seem weird to some but to him it was normal for him to have no thoughts only voices.

Vernon pulled his bag off his shoulders and unzipped it, looking into the bag, trying to search for a blue piece of paper that was given to him before he left out for school by one of his caretakers.

Blue, blue, blue, blue, blue-

Vernon smiled widely pulling out a crumpled piece of blue paper, that displayed his classes and room numbers. He then turned his head to the side of him, reading the number in the middle of the door.

140, he read it in his head, then looked back at the sheet, looking at the top box where the words, Chemistry, room 208, Mr. Kim, were written.

With that Vernon made his way down the hall whistling, naturally moving to where his first class may be, which is predicted to be upstairs but turned out to be down the hall, take a right and and at the very last room.

Vernon knocked two times before entering the room. He walked in slowly, everyones eyes moved with him as he walked over to the front of class and bowed, before turning to the teacher, "I'm Vernon Chwe, I am in your class."

"Vernon," the teacher said and scanned the attendance sheet, "Oh here it is, okay Vernon please take your seat."

Vernon obeyed and dragged his body to the middle of the class, his eyes searched for a seat.

"Hey, Vernon over here!" he heard a strangely familiar voice call out to him from the back of the class, along with the sound of the chairs legs scrapping back against the floor.

He turned his head to the person and his face formed a slight smile seeing who it was.

It was a friend he had from back in middle school, Joshua. They were friends for a while, mainly because Vernon thought his obsession with turtle neck shirts was funny. It seems that he hasn't changed a bit. He's still wearing the turtle necks.

Joshua with a friendly wave directed the boy over to him, and Vernon blindly walked over to the seat next to him.

"Come sit next to me, old pal," Joshua smiled up and Vernon.

"Kay," Vernon said, not thinking anything else about it and taking the seat next to the smiling boy beside him.

He pushed his head into his arms closing his eyes, and tried his very hardest to think of something, anything. Daydreams were hard to come up with but when he was able to do it, it was enjoyable.
