Sixteen

Minghao slept peacefully until the next morning, waking up still cuddled into his boyfriend. He smiled slightly and rolled over so he was facing Junhui, admiring him like he seemed to do every morning when he woke up in the others arms. There was something so comforting about falling asleep and waking up in the older's arms; it made him feel so relaxed and safe.

Minghao brushed Junhui's messy blonde hair from his face before leaving a soft peck on his nose, smiling softly. Junhui woke up a little while after and smiled softly as his eyes fluttered open, meeting Minghao's.

"Good morning, baby" Junhui whispered, his voice deeper than usual since he had just woken up. "Did you sleep well?" He asked.

Minghao smiled softly and nodded a little bit. "I slept very well, did you?" He asked softly, snuggling against Junhui.

The vampire gave a small nod as he pulled Minghao close. "I did" He grinned. "How are you feeling this morning, by the way?" He added.

"Well... I don't really feel any different... But then again, I don't feel insanely hungry at the moment, so that must be a good sign" Minghao explained with a faint smile.

Junhui pecked his lips and nodded a little. "I really hoped it did work" He said softly, earning a small nod in agreement from Minghao.

"Does that mean we can actually go out somewhere today?" The younger asked. "I'm fed up of being stuck in this house" He pouted.

Junhui thought for a moment before nodding a little bit. "I suppose we can... But i'll be keeping a very close watch on you" He said softly.

Minghao smiled widely before nodding and sitting up. "Where should we go though?" He asked softly.

The older male thought for moment before grinning. "Well... You see... It's a Wednesday ...So...School" He laughed softly.

Minghao groaned and immediately flopped back down onto the bed. "That's somehow worse" He muttered, crossing his arms.

Junhui giggled and rolled his eyes before sitting up. "Come on.. We're going" He hummed, climbing out of bed before walking to his bag and getting changed.

Minghao bit down on his lower lip and watched the other male for a moment before standing up and getting ready himself.

Once he was changed, Minghao sorted out his messy brown hair and headed downstairs, being greeted by the usual cheery Jiahao sat at the counter eating his breakfast. 

"Morning" Minghao said with a faint smile, grabbing a flask of blood for himself and Junhui before putting them into his bag.

"Good morning, Hao" Jiahao said happily before finishing up his breakfast and heading to school.

Junhui made his way downstairs after and back hugged Minghao, kissing his neck lightly. "You know... I never got a chance  to fully mark you as mine" He murmured randomly, a small smirk spreading across his face.

Minghao felt his cheeks heat up after hearing Junhui's comment. He quickly turned around in his arms and gazed at him. "W- Well... Maybe you'll get your chance another time... W- We're gonna be late!" He said flustered.

Junhui cooed at the other and laughed softly, cupping his red cheeks before pecking his lips. "Oh don't worry, I will" He whispered, winking before pulling away from the other male. 

Minghao fanned his heated cheeks and shook his head a little before regaining himself. He slipped his jacket on before grabbing his bag and leaving the house with Junhui.

"It feels like it's been so long since I felt the fresh breeze" Minghao murmured, lacing his hand with Junhui's as he looked around.

"Well, hopefully that cure will work and you won't have to be cooped up inside anymore" Junhui said with a soft smile.

Minghao nodded and walked beside the male. They soon reached the college and made their way inside. They were almost immediately met with Soonyoung, who happily yelled their names down the corridor as he made his way towards the two vampires. 

"Good to have you two back!" The human said happily, smiling at the two.

"It's good to be back" Minghao said with a faint smile.

The three of them spoke for a while before heading off to their classes. Time passed by fairly quickly and it was soon lunch time. Minghao and Junhui were sat at their usual table with Chan, Soonyoung and Joshua.

"Yah! Where the hell have you four been the last few days?" Chan asked, furrowing his eyebrows

That's when the four of them realised, they had completely forgotten about Chan. Chan was not involved in all of this supernatural business so they had not had much contact with him the past few days. 

"O-Oh uhm... Minghao was sick, so I stayed with him" Junhui said softly, which technically wasn't really a lie.

"And me and Soonyoung were... Uhm... Helping the homeless..?" Joshua blurted out, though it sounded more like a question. 

Chan was soon distracted by something else. "Clearly Minghao wasn't that sick.." Chan grinned, pointing to the rather distinct love bite on Minghao's neck.

Minghao blushed deeply and covered it with his hand, whereas Junhui just smirked and laughed slightly. "Gotta prove he's taken somehow" He winked.

Chan made a fake gagging noise while Joshua and Soonyoung laughed... Minghao just buried his face in Junhui's chest with embarrassment. 

Joshua soon became distracted as well when his phone buzzed and he pulled it out before reading the message. The message read:

Unknown: 'Hey, I can't wait to meet you again : )'
