Thirty-Two

"Hao! About time!" Mei exclaimed, pulling him inside the house.

"Junhui! You came too" She smiled brightly, pulling him inside as well.

Minghao laughed slightly and walked to the living room with his mother and Junhui, sitting down.

"So... I presume you boys are wanting to spend Minghao's actual birthday together alone.. so we shall also celebrate today" Mei smiled.

Junhui nodded a little bit and smiled slightly. "Do you have anything in mind?" He asked curiously.

Mei nodded a little bit and smiled brightly. "Well... First off... Gifts" She said happily before calling Jiahao down from his room to join them.

Mei went to the kitchen and quickly grabbed a bag full of gifts, sitting back down after and Handing Minghao the first one.

Minghao smiled softly and bit down on his lower lip as he opened the gift, smiling softly as he saw what it was: keys.

Wait... Keys?

Minghao looked over at his mother confused for a moment before realising.

"You got me a car?!" He asked excitedly.

Mei nodded. "I didn't know what else to get you... It's not much but I tried my best. It's why I've been at work so much these days" She explained.

Minghao nodded before hugging her tightly. "Thank you" He whispered gratefully before sitting back down.

Jiahao and Mei continued to hand him presents and watched him open them happily.

Once Minghao was done, he thanked them both and carried all the gifts up to his room with Junhui's help. He set them on his bed before beginning to put them away, humming softly.

Once he was done, he looked over to Junhui who was leant against the wall on his phone. He appeared to be very focused on whatever he was looking at.

"What are you doing?" Minghao asked with a curious expression, walking closer to the male.

"Oh... Nothing!" Junhui assured, quickly slipping his phone away before Minghao could see.

Minghao raised an eyebrow and looked at him suspiciously. "Nothing hm?"

Junhui nodded. "Uhm yeah... Just talking to Soonyoung" He assured with a warm smile.

Minghao nodded slowly before sitting down on the end of his bed. "Weirdo" He murmured.

Junhui raised an eyebrow and looked over to the other when he spoke, his lips forming into a pout. "W-Weirdo?" He repeated, pretending to act offended as he walked over.

He pushed Minghao back onto the bed and climbed onto him. "I'm not weird- you're weird" He protested, still continuing to pout.

Minghao giggled quietly and leant up, kissing Junhui's pout gently. "You areee~ But you're my weirdo so it's okay" He whispered before pulling Junhui down beside him.

Junhui grinned and pulled the younger vampire closer to himself. "I'm gonna take you somewhere tomorrow" He whispered, kissing the top of the males head.

Minghao smiled faintly and gazed at Junhui. "Take me where?" He asked with a curious expression.

"Well that's a surprise"Junhui whispered with a small grin, gently running his hand through his lovers soft hair.

Minghao pouted a little at his words before nodding. "As long as you're there, I don't think it could be a bad surprise." He said happily

Junhui smiled faintly and nodded a little bit, leaving a small kiss on Minghao's cheek.

The next morning 

Junhui was awake before Minghao. He carefully got out of the bed and got changed quietly, not wanting to wake Minghao up just yet. He then pulled out his phone and texted Soonyoung to make sure him and the others were ready.

Afterwards, he grabbed two suitcases which he had packed while Minghao was sleeping, one for each of them, and carried them downstairs and out to the other vampires new car. He put them in the trunk before returning and waking up Minghao.

Minghao groaned quietly and rolled over before slowly sitting up, rubbing his eyes tiredly. "What time is it?" He grumbled.

Junhui couldn't help but chuckle softly at how cute Minghao looked. "Time for you to get up. Come on! Get dressed I'm taking you somewhere" He said excitedly, practically pulling Minghao out of bed.

Minghao, stil being half asleep, groggily walked over to his closet. "Alright alright I'm up" He murmured as he went to pick out an outfit.

Junhui stopped him with a soft grin and picked out Minghao's outfit. "Wear this it's super cute" He hummed softly.

Minghao nodded slowly before getting changed into the outfit Junhui picked out for him. "How do I look?" He asked softly.

Junhui grinned and wrapped his arms around Minghao's waist. "You look amazing" He whispered, pecking his lips gently before taking a hold of Minghao's hand and leading him downstairs and out of the house. "We have a pretty long car journey so I packed for us to eat on the way" He said softly as he got into the drivers seat of the car.

Minghao nodded slowly, still utterly confused and half asleep. He climbed into the passenger side of the car and looked to Junhui. "Still not telling me where we are gonna go?" He asked softly, tilting his head to the side.

Junhui grinned and nodded as he started the car. "Nope. It's a surprise" He hummed as he drove off.
