"Nerd!"
"Slut!"
"Whore!"
"Trash!"
The words stung Sagittarius, but she pushed up her glasses and continued walking down the hallway as Libra's friends called her names. She wished she could just get out and leave it all behind. Go backpacking through Europe. Travel through the Congo. Visit the pyramids of Egypt.
She opened up her locker and looked at all the pictures taped on the inside. So beautiful and far away. So many adventures she wished to have, but no money to do it with.
She grabbed her materials for her next class. Geography. She was absolutely amazing at it, but she loved it for another reason. Libra. It was her only class with him, and she's loved him since 7th grade. Going on 18 and no progress in that relationship.
She sat at her desk, which was next to Libra's and endured the punishment of his friends.
She snapped though, when one kid said, "I bet you want to travel so much to get away from your abusive and alcoholic, deadbeat parents!"
She flinched. She'd only told one person that secret. Her ex-best friend, Gemini.
"What did you just say?" Sagittarius asked.
"You heard me. About your deadbeat parents being abusive and alcoholic, not to mention the scars and bruises you carry as a reminder of how worthless you are."
"Gemini stop." Said a voice beside Sagittarius. Libra.
"Why?" She asked. "I thought you hated her."
"I have to know someone to hate them, and I don't know her." He looked at her. "But I'd love to."
Sagittarius blushed. She wasn't used to people being nice to her.
"It's not fair what you had to go through." He said. "I'm sorry. I also know that you want to travel really badly, but don't have the money. Maybe I could help?"
"R-really?" Asked Sagittarius.
"Oh come on! You can't seriously be considering helping her?" Asked Gemini.
"Yes I am. Where do you wanna go?" Gemini turned around admitting defeat.
"Anywhere but here."
"Good." He grabbed her hand. "Because I'd take you anywhere."
Sagittarius blushed.
