"Give me you wrist" Natasha told Clarity as she held a bracelet in her hand that would dampen Clarity's powers.
"No..I-I can learn to control it Nat. Please..." Clarity pleaded holding her hands close to her.
"Clarity I have orders. You have to wear this. The accords-"
"I never signed the damned accords!" Clarity protested.
"Listen Clarity, the un leaders don't feel safe with you-"
"Then I'll wait outside. I'm not putting that... that torture device on my wrist. I don't feel right when I wear it. Everything feels dull and I feel cut off from everything. My answer is no" Clarity denied.
"Clarity I can't just-"
"Please Nat. Don't put that on me" Clarity begged.
"Clarity you've got to put this on. It'll feel ten times worse if you don't just trust me" Natasha pleaded.
"Trust you? Give me one good reason" Clarity told her.
"Because I don't want to lose you" Natasha's told her.
"It's not good enough" Clarity replied.
"Because you're too important" Natasha tried again.
"Still not good enough" Clarity replied.
"Because I love you" Natasha told her finally. "And I want to be with you, but I can't do that unless you put it on" Natasha told her.
"If you really did love me Nat. Then you wouldn't be asking me to do this" Clarity denied.
"Clarity I'm just trying to protect you"
"Protect me from what Nat? From myself? Thanks but no thanks. I'd rather be alone forever than deny my powers. They've become a part of who I am and I'm not changing. Not even for you Clarity denied glitching away. Leaving Natasha with a broken heart and the power dampener.
