A 1967 Chevy Impala accelerated down an old, cracked road. That highway had been abandoned for some time. Guns N' Roses filled the pure air. The eldest Winchester hung his hand out of the Impala's window while the younger explained the case in Montana. Sam insisted they play something else but Dean refused. After a while, Sam just stayed quiet. Dean would sing along with the lyrics, but there was one song that he'd skip. Sam had no clue as to why his older brother did this. The Impala parked in a small parking lot. C'mon Inn was where the Winchesters would stay.
"Would you two like a queen or a king?" The concierge asked.
"What? No. Two separate beds. We're brothers." The woman went red and looked down at her computer.
"Oh! Uh, I'm so sorry. Um, here's your keys sir." The girl avoided eye contact with the elder Winchester. Dean gave a forced smile and walked off with Sam.
"I'm serious! Is it the way we look, so we look gay? Do we have to wear a damn pin that says 'We're not gay, we're just brothers'?" Dean complained the entire way from the front desk to their actual motel room.
"Dean, I've just learned to ignore it. I'm going to take a shower." Sam retreated to the bathroom and left Dean alone in the room.
Dean sat in the room, observing the features of it. He couldn't escape the silence of the room. Dean got up and wandered around. He didn't know what to do with himself. Not long after, Sam emerged from the bathroom, wearing a suit and tie.
"Dean get ready, we have to be at the police station by 2." Sam tossed his bag on the floor.
"Alright alright." Dean picked up his bag with a huff and left to change.

The Impala made her way around the small town, arriving at the police station. The brothers climbed out of the car and walked towards the entrance. They walked in to see officers bringing civilians in and out of questioning rooms. The lady at the front desk had phones ringing constantly. The sheriff halted them at the door.
"Sorry gentlemen, can't have you being here at the moment." She said in a soft tone. Dean stared at her for a second.
"No uh, I'm Special Agent Page. And this here is my partner,"
"Special Agent Plant." Sam finished as he and his brother showed their 'badges' in unison.
"Oh, sorry about that. We've had locals coming in all day. Demanding answers and all." She stuck out a hand towards Dean. He hesitantly shook it before she did the same to Sam. She led the brothers to her office, they took their seats. "So you boys are aware of the situation, yes?"
"That is correct," Sam nodded and looked towards Dean.
"Yeah, man of the house goes missing for three days then comes home to kill his family then himself." Dean gave a forced smile and the sheriff couldn't help but giggle to herself. Sam tilted his head in confusion.
"Ah, that was really unprofessional of me. Your partner just reminded me of an old friend. That's all." She shook her head with a smile before turning back to the case.
"Are you able to provide the names of the latest family?"
"Oh sure Agent Plant," The sheriff grabbed a file and tossed it Sam's way. "The last family were the Pearsons. Husband came home after three days and burned the house to the ground. It was sad to see them go." The sheriff turned away and held her breath.
"I'll check out the house later. In the meantime, Agent Page, you stay here with sheriff...?"
"Oh, Sheriff Hanks." She said with a smile.
"You stay here with her and look over the case files." Dean rolled his eyes silently but nodded. He and the sheriff followed Sam to the parking lot.
"Wow, that's a nice car you got there." Sheriff Hanks looked at the Impala as if it were made of gold.
"Yeah, she's a beaut. I've kept her in good shape." Dean looked at Baby with a proud look on his face. The sheriff looked at him oddly, as if she'd seen him do that facial expression before.
"Alright, you two have fun." Same said with a slight bitch-face before pulling out of the parking lot and driving away.
"Well, shall we get started?" Sheriff Hanks looked at Dean, smiling ear to ear. He couldn't help to think how cute she was acting.
"Uh yeah, let's go." Dean smiled back at the sheriff before heading back to her office.

"Who might you be?"
"I'm Agent Plant, I was sent by the sheriff." Sam held out his badge, letting the officer inspect it.
"Ok, well feel free to look around. Don't touch anything," the officer walked away, throwing a pair of gloves at Sam in the process. Sam slipped the gloves on and walked over to the charred house. He walked around silently, not wanting anyone to see what he was doing. He pulled out his EMF reader and scanned the whole first floor. Nothing. He used parts of the broken house to lift small pieces of debris. Nothing seemed unusual. There were no weird sigils insight, and there was no sulfur so that ruled out demons. Sam made his way back to the officer that greeted him.
"Well Agent, find anything useful?" The officer said with a smug look.
"No sir, thank you for your time." Sam walked away and the officer looked at him with an unusually wide grin. The younger Winchester climbed into the Impala and she roared to life. She purred as she made her way down the road. Sam pulled into yet another parking lot, emerging from the vehicle. He walked into the building, showing his badge to anyone that questioned him. He walked into a cold room, a woman dressed in white greeting him.
"Good afternoon there sir." She smiled at Sam, he returned the smile back.
"I'm Agent Plant, I'm gonna need to take a look at the Pearson family." Sam held up his badge, letting the woman inspect it.
"Alrighty, follow me, Agent." She led him to the bodies and Sam followed behind like a lost puppy. She slid them out of their place, their skin had almost completely melted off.
"These poor people," Sam said grimly, he checked for anything unusual. Sam put them back in their places and turned back to the woman.
"What about the other two families?"
"Ah yes, there's the Stevens family then there's the Gomez family. Take your pick, Agent Plant." Sam looked down sadly at the two names.
"Well, I guess I should check the Stevens." Sam slid the family from their place and began the inspection. The woman walked out of the room to let Sam properly do his job. He grabbed a syringe and took a blood sample from the husband. He spent the next hour or so running small tests. He took the test results and stuffed them in his pockets. Sam thanked the woman for letting him look over the bodies. She nodded and watched as he drove off.
