malia

"what? it's been paid? you didn't even see the ticket," i retorted.

the police officer shot me a wtf look because who in god's name would not like herself to be free of charge? obviously me.

so yeah, we are in the station and sam paid his ticket and are ready to pay mine (he can't do anything about it) when the officer told us i'm off the debt. i mean, is he kidding?

"it's jae again," i plainly said and walked out of there first. sam ran after me.

"so what?" he asked.

"so what?" i repeated.

"what would you do?"

"nothing. ignore him at all cost," i said, entering the back seat of the car and slamming the door.

"c'mon, malia," sam opened the door and sat beside me before closing it. "can you just call him and listen?"

"oh." i faced sam. "did we jaywalked on purpose?"

"what?! no!" he replied defensively, sincerely. "i mean i don't know he's gonna find out-- i mean, i don't-- why am i being roasted?!" he squealed, frustrated.

"wait, what's happening?" symeria asked from the driver's seat, confused.

"someone paid her ticket and she thinks it's her ex," sam explained, calmed down, while i am still in mad about it.

"and isn't that a good thing?" sym commented.

"yes! -- no! he is suppose to hate me. i can't get over him completely if he stays this way."

"why don't you just get back together?"

"same thing why sam has no girlfriend," i closed my eyes and thought of that pig rule in their company about restrictions.

"so it's because he's ugly?" sym appealed, leaving sam's mouth open.

"unbelievable," he blankly sputtered. "get out of my car, please, sym," he ordered.

"i'm your older sister, you disrespectful ugly creature."

can someone please hush these two?

--

"i am only in this apartment again because sym asked me. i can't believe i am skipping work for your tantrums, maya," sam spoke.

"i will kill you."

i ate a mouthful of rice and put down the spoon harshly. i stared down at sam and shot him a devilish look.

"where's allison and scott?"

"on vacation in paris, i think. i really don't know. they left me two days ago and told me they're spending time together. last time i asked, they're in front of eiffel tower."

"so, it's gonna be the two of us? alone?" he asked, looking disgusted.

"you have your room tho, i put my trash there and everything jae brought."

queen amberly, my cat, came rushing, grabbing my sweatpants by her claws. i heard the doorbell.

"grab it," i ordered sam and he just scowled but stood.

i continued eating my food with queen amberly on my lap. i caressed her hair as i played sam's band, the rose's like we used to.

"da johassneunde~" i sang.

"malia-- i tried-- UGHH MALIA! DON'T HURT ME PLEASE."

when i looked at sam to see what he's blabbering about, he was with someone i hate to see just right now.

"jae. come on, bro," he tried to pull jae back even though i can see in sam's eyes that he's loving this. he's been talking about us for a while now and it's entertaining for him to see us like this.

"who are you to barge in my house?" i asked, irritated.

"i'm visiting woosung."

fuck. of course, sam.

i shot sam my famous "i will kill you" gaze.

"what? i did not tell him i'm here?! i don't know anything about this! i swear!" he defended though he's very obvious in every reason.

"i hate you very much," i said plainly.

"was it for me or jae?" sam naively asked. i just sighed and left them in the kitchen.

"it is not me, maya!"

"he let me in!"

i smiled in defeat and walked to my room.
