"Lucifer is...an odd boy." My mother told the psychologist. They never understand my ways of living. So what if I'm not the most ambitious guy in the universe. That doesn't mean that I'm odd.

"You want to drop out of school, Lucifer? Haven't we talked about this before." The psychologist smiled her phony smile. Why must that lady try and look nice when I know that she's a snake in the grass.

I ignored her, and continued to text Dillon. Dillon's my brother from another mother. We've been best friends for years because we're similar, but different just the same.

"How's the therapy going?"

"It's shitty, as usual. How's your sister's First Communion."

"Boring as frick."

"Why don't you cuss?"

"I'm in the church, bro. If someone sees my cell, I'm done for. I don't want people to think I'm Satan."

"That's why I'm Jewish. I don't have to go to church, but it still celebrate all your holidays."

"Plus, you get Chanukah."

"It's Hanukkah."

"No it's Chanukah."

"No it's..."

"Lucifer Underwood!" My mother frowned. "Put the phone down, and listed to Ms. Lox."

"We will continue this brawl later. I gotta listen to the ass hole psychologist again."

I shut off my cell phone, and placed it into Ms. Lox's outstretched hand.

"Lucifer." She began. "You want to quit school. What is your plan once you quit?"

"My plan is to expand my skills in gaming and texting while living in my parent's home."

"Texting and gaming will not earn you and your family money. Without money, you can't buy clothes or food or--"

"I don't have to worry about that because my parents are filthy rich."

"Yes you do because your parents aren't going to spoil you forever."

"Ugh."

Out of nowhere, a knock was heard on the wooden door. I looked out of the glass to see a blonde girl with bright blue eyes. She was gorgeous, but then I looked down. She had gigantic feet. They looked like she wore size fifteen shoes. That's abnormal.

Ms. Lox opened the door.

"Aliyah. Perfect timing."

She came into the room. I brushed my hazelnut brown hair out of my hazel eyes, so she could bask in my sexiness. Unfortunately, there was no basking.

"Lucifer, this is Aliyah. She will be your new friend."

"What? You are assigning me a friend!"

"Yes. She is an ambitious person, who will show you the correct path."

Aliyah nodded, flashing a smile. My eyes continued to drift to her Sasquatch feet.

Then, I saved myself.

"Mom! Really?"

My mom sighed. "Hun, it's what's best for you. Aliyah will be over at noon tomorrow. Be ready for some fun."

This was going to be anything but fun.

Aliyah sat down next to me, as my mom left to speak with the psychologist.

"I'm sorry about this. My mom can be a control freak sometimes."

"You're Ms. Lox's daughter? She talks a lot about you."

"Yeah. Aliyah Lox. I hate being her little girl. She's such a witch."

Okay. Maybe we weren't that different.

"What are you gonna teach me, anyways?"

"Just how to be ambitious, and have dreams that exceed the walks of life."

Never mind, we're really different,

"God. I just wanna be a guy."

"Don't you want money? If you have money, you can do whatever you want. And I don't mean your parent's money."

"You're a little grown up."

"You're a little kid. My situation is better. I have a job, and I'm aspiring to become a female Picasso."

"You're too eager."

"You're too lazy."

"Dreams can break you!"

"And not having dreams can ruin you!"

Tears sprang to her eyes and she ran out. It looked as though she had a limp...
