Tyler’s POV
I quickly got out of my bedroom with my hair still soaking wet, and saw that beautiful man standing across my living room, besides my unfinished bag. Suddenly, feeling the urge to ignore how late I was to catch my flight, I ran to embrace him for the last time.
“I’ll miss you, Chris” I said quietly, and pulling away from the hug, caressing his cheek gently.
“I’ll miss you too, Ty” Chris answered, pecking me on the lips as he did. “I’m really sorry I can’t go with you to the airport, I just-“
“I know, I know,” I cut him off. “You have to get back to work. You’re always so busy baby, even though you’re across the street it feels like you’re miles away,” I said as dramatically as I possibly could. He laughed at my immaturity and continued from when I had interrupted him. “You’re such a drama queen, Oakley. Now go finish packing.” I giggled and did as he said, but only after giving him a quick hug and a soft kiss on his cheek. When pulling away from the comforting hug, I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket. I checked it, wondering who it could be, considering how early in the morning it was.
“The Troye Sivan: TILLY OH MY GOD I JUST WROTE THE MOST AMAZING SONG I’M SO EXCITED”
A wide smile suddenly appeared on my face, showing just how proud I was of him. I had been going along with Troye for over an year now on his journey with his first E.P, and I couldn’t be more excited for the astonishingly talented boy, who also happened to be one of my very best friends. I quickly let go of Chris and still smiling, grabbed my phone with both hands, anxious to answer the text right away. I was about to start typing, when a pair of green eyes paralyzed my fingers. I could feel Chris staring at my phone screen and I noticed an ounce of jealousy growing all over his face. Quite a few times now, I had noticed the reaction that took control of him whenever Troye’s name was mentioned. It was crystal clear for Chris how close he and I were and just how much I cared about him, beside the fact that Troyler is the biggest ship on the YouTube community now.
“Hey Christopher Clark,” I said watching his expression, switching off my phone and placing it back in my pocket. “He is just my friend okay? You have nothing to worry about,” I concluded, looking straight into his eyes and holding his hand, reassuring him with a tender smile. He let go a quiet giggle of relief and smiled back at me, letting me know that he knew that I meant it.
As soon as I was done packing, Chris hurriedly helped me carry my luggage outside and said his final goodbyes, since he was also late for work. The boy whom had taken up quite a bit of space on my cluttered mind recently, and who was too busy for me at times, was actually the head of a big tv network, who had just a month ago made a story about The Trevor Project. That was actually how we first met. He interviewed me on my story with the project, and also about the amazing 525K dollar goal my people had raised for my birthday campaign just a few months ago. He gave me his number later that day, and it didn’t take long for us to start seeing each other on a regular basis. We had been going out for about a month now, Korey being the only one knowing about this. Not because I wanted to hide our relationship from anyone, but because we were not exclusive and I didn’t want to rush things and neither did he for that matter.
I know I’d miss that blonde haired boy, but as much as I liked being with him, I couldn’t help but feeling extremely happy and excited to be reunited with some of my best friends. I’ve missed my YouTube friends a lot recently, one Australian boy in particular. We hadn’t seen each other since he went back to Australia from Playlist Live, and even though Troye and I talk every single day, sometimes skyping and texting just isn't enough. With that in mind, I got in the cab and took my phone out of my pocket, thrilled to reply Troye’s message.
