Tyler’s POV

“Passengers of the flight 344 to Milan, the plane will take off on the gate number 8 in 15 minutes.”

Listening to the announcement, I stood up grabbing my backpack, and with my luggage already checked in; I headed to gate 8.

After waiting an excruciatingly long amount of time as result of stupid people standing on the line with no reason at all and the preferential line going first, I finally got into the plane and looked patiently for my seat, preparing myself psychologically for my 13 hour flight. Gladly, my seat was right next to the window, meaning that I could at least sleep through most of the trip. As soon as the plane took off, I took my laptop and phone out of my backpack. I had filmed a new Q&A yesterday, and I was hoping that I could edit it so I could upload during my road trip around Italy with the boys. As much as I’m sure that I’ll have the best time travelling with my friends, I hate letting my people hanging. Even though I know they would understand if I didn’t post any videos during my trip, I try my best to always follow my schedule. Before even think about editing, I searched anxiously for Wi-Fi, which I could find and connected all my devices to, but not before silently thanking the lord for the internet. Within two hours I was done with the video, only needing to do my thumbnail and think about the title, which I could surely do later that day since I noticed my phone buzzing. Just as I pressed the lock button, two text messages popped up on my screen, one from Chris and one from Troye. I slid my thumb into Chris’ name first, exposing his short message.

“Hey Oakley, you forgot your toothbrush. Miss you already xx”

My face relaxed and a quiet giggle full of tender and longing slipped out of my mouth, since I knew that he was referring to the fact that I always forget my toothbrush when I spend the night over at his place. Before texting him back, I quickly changed to Troye’s chat, hoping excitedly that it would be what I thought it would be.

And it was.

A picture of his lyrics notebook with the song he had written just a few hours ago.

The fucking bests verses ever written if I may.

I had to literally hold back a scream realizing how good it was. Not even thinking about texting Chris first, I rushed to reply to his message with a wide smile and genuine tears building up on my eyes out of pure euphoria as to just how talented that boy was. I couldn’t be happier for him. Even though I knew that Troye wouldn’t be able to answer now since he would be busy getting ready to his flight, I couldn’t help myself.

“I AM SCREAMING AS TO HOW GOOD THIS IS, TROYE SIVAN. My body is ready for the demo.”

My stomach somersaulted slightly when I realized that I had forgotten to answer to Chris while lost in my thoughts about how excited I was for the 15th of august, so I immediately grabbed my phone once again to respond the boy I had kept waiting.

“Oh, so you were soo busy to come with me to the airport, but for texting you’ve got the time? Uhm, good to know. Miss you too, boo.”

After finishing my lunch, feeling exhaustion take over my body, I switched on my phone and opened audible. I pressed play on “The Maze Runner”, the book I am listening to at the moment, since I want to read the book before watching the movie. I quickly fell asleep on my red neck pillow, skipping dinner and only waking up when the flight attendant went through the passengers’ seats making sure we had our belts on, notifying us that we were about to land.

Since I arrived in Milan one day before everyone else, as soon as I got my luggage back, I took a cab to my hotel. Gladly, I had no trouble checking in and I immediately got to my hotel room. Starving as I was, I went on the bakery across the street and ordered some food, getting ready to make a tour around the city.
