Dick sat on the steps just watching the street. The doors opened. "I know my voice is shit but was it that bad?" She giggled sitting down beside him. He gave her a glance hanging his head down. "No. You voice is beautiful. But. The song was..." she placed a hand on his shoulder. "I know. I was sceptical about you hearing it. If I hadn't have been late I wouldn't have told you guys about it." Dick turned a little looking at her. "You shouldn't be embrassed Anna.  You have a talent. Don't think you don't.  I just... in the hospital you said you loved me. Anna... I feel the same. I fell for you. And I don't care what anyone is going to say or think. I want to be with you. And only you." She but her lip looking at her shoes. "You cheated on kori with me dick. What's to say you won't do the same. I want to beileve you. But I can't. I would love to make it work. But it won't happen so let's just not okay? Just go our separate ways"

And they did. For 4 months they just gave eachother a civil hello and goodbye. An occasional how was your day. But they ignored eachother for the most part. This crushed dick. He wanted to fade away every time he heard her laugh or saw her face. Even the way she carried herself. He needed her. Until one day his heart was broken completely.

"Jay! Jason! Jason! You won't beileve it!" She skid into the bedroom where him and dick sat. "Where's the fire?" Jason chuckled. Dick smiled looking at her "he finally asked" Jasons eyes grew wide. "When?" She smiled restraining herself from jumping up and down "8 o'clock tonight!" Jason smiled. "You better get ready" she ran out the room then back kissing his cheek and disappeared "What was that about?" Jason laughed shaking his head. "You remember the guy from the singing programme. Matt. He asked me where she likes to eat. He wanted to take her on a date. I told her. He finally asked her out." Dick smiled. It was fake and Jason knew it. But he decided to not say anything. He had never seen her this excited. Even tho letting her go was killing him he just wanted her happy. Until two hours later she walked down the stairs. Jason smiled at her white tights dress and leather jacket. Dick looked her up and down and couldn't keep his eyes away. There was a knock on the door she smiled opening it. The boy stood. He was a good looking guy.  Tall blonde hair amazing blue eyes. Dick thought he had better eyes than this prick. He had red roses in his hand her favorite. She smiled taking them. "Thank you" she smelt them he slipped a finger under her chin so she would look at him then they kissed. Dick wanted to ground to swallow him whole it hurt him to say the least he kept trying to remind himself he was doing it so she could be happy. But. He didn't think it could. "Ready to go?" She nodded Jason took the flowers "I'll put these in water for you. Have fun. Back by 12 please" she laughed as they left. Dick sighed as the door closed

Matt was the perfect gentleman the whole night. Dick was having trouble sleeping. He laid awake but turned over and pretended to sleep when she got home. He heard her footsteps and matts heavy ones behind her. The door opened soundlessly and they both slipped in "it's okay. He's asleep" she laughed. Dick closed his eyes and could tell from her giggles and stumbles she was drunk. And so was matt. "Come on matt." She whispered laughing. Dick tried to ignore the sound of them making out. "We have to be quite okay?" He chuckled letting her climb on her bed.  Dick listened to them for hours just fucking. He was too angry to sleep. Or to move. The moment they fell asleep he left the room deciding it was better to be away.

For the next 4 months he was always there grating on dick. They lay in her bed laughing and talking Jason was happy.  She was happy that was all that mattered to him. But she was naive. She thought this was it. That she was in love. But too much of a good thing is bad. And this was a lesson she would learn very quick.
