Beauty Is Only Skin Deep

Chapter 3:

Niall's POV:

  I spent most of the period talking to George and Sadie. I have never seen her this happy in a long time. I really like her and only George knows that. Its like what I know about how he feels for Autumn. But the thing is I already know that she likes Colby. Well what girl doesn't he fits as the stereotype of a player. No he is the definition of a player. It is a shame that girls like Sadie fall for guys like Colby but not for guys like George and I. These girls now a days just want a guy that wants to get in their pants not guys that will treat you with kindness. But I don't think Sadie is like that. I think she just started to like the wrong guy. Well that is what I hope. The class ended and we started to leave. I went with George to the next class but I decided to walk Sadie to hers. "Hey George, why don't you walk with us? You might get a chance to talk to your 'girlfriend'." George and Sadie laughed a little. "Ha-Ha very funny Niall. I guess we now have a comedian here." Sadie laughed a little more. We walked her to class and left for our class. While I was getting ready to leave Sadie grabbed my arm and said, "I had a great time. We should do it again sometime and maybe this time include Autumn." "Yeah I would love that." I left for my next class. While walking to the next class I saw Autumn and it looked like Colby was bothering her. I overheard some of what they were saying. Autumn said, "Colby leave me alone please!" Colby looked like he was enjoying what he was doing to her. I saw George and it looked like he was getting ready to do something. I pulled his arm and pulled him another way so we could get to the next class. "Why did you do that Niall?" "Because it looked like Autumn could have handled herself and you looked like you were going to join in and try to stop Colby." He was silent for a little bit and we went into class.

Colby's POV:

  The class ended and I went to the classroom that Autumn was in. I was waiting and I saw her get up to leave the classroom. She looks at me and sighs. When she gets to where I am standing she walks past and says, "I told you that I was not going to walk with you." "No Autumn, you said that you weren't going to wait for me." She turns around and says, "Well now I am saying I am not going to walk with you." She turned and started walking away. Don't let her get away from you. Fight for what is yours. My subconscious told me that. I decided I should listen to it. I ran up to her. "So Autumn, can I get your number?" "No and you will never get it." "Come on just tell me your phone number." "Colby leave me alone!" "But I just want to text you." "But I don't want you to text me." "Come on Autumn, stop playing hard to get!" She turned to me and poked her finger on my chest. "Listen here Colby I am not playing hard to get. I don't like you, okay?" I grabbed her hand and entangled her fingers with mine and gripped tightly so she wouldn't pull her hand away. I said, "Just give me your number and I won't bother you as much." "Colby let me go." "No! Give me your number and I will let go." "If I give it to you will you leave me alone." "Probably not but I will not annoy you as much." "Fine." She wrote it down on a piece of paper and while she was writing it I noticed she was left handed. She handed me the paper and said, "If you don't believe that is my number you could text it right now." Of course I didn't believe her so I took out my phone and texted the number. The text said hey beautiful this is Colby. I sent it and I heard a vibrate coming from her book bag. She checked her phone and showed me the text. After she showed me the text she put her phone away. I felt a vibrate from my phone I checked it and saw that it was from her. I opened it and it said I told you that was my number. She turned and went to class. I walked in and I sat next to Jake and Autumn went to sit next to Sadie.
