mia's pov

the only reason i get likes is because of madison. she's my best friend and i love her and I mean it's cool and all but it feels like i'm in her shadow you know? i have another best friend, makena, [a/n we are going to also call her mac] me and her are so much closer than i am with madison. i just see her more because madison is so busy with her new music and everything. i totally understand it, but sometimes i wish i could see her more. madison, makena, and i are the bestest friends you could ever imagine even though it's mostly just me and mac. but when we're all together, shit gets crazy.

mac is friends with some guy named jack avery. he's in a really popular band called 'why don't we'. i've heard some of they're songs and they are actually really good.

i see that one of the band members, daniel seavey followed me and commented on my instagram picture. i go on his account and kinda stalk him a little bit. i've seen him on some pictures with makena on her instagram.

he's so hot.

i'm with makena so i show her that he followed me. i don't know why, but she gets super excited and tells me to dm him. i tell her i'm not dming him. no way i'm doing that. i'm gonna say something stupid and then he'll think i'm weird and it just wont go well.

daniel's pov

mac has been talking about her friend mia for such a long time. i always tell her i'll check out mia's instagram, but never do. but today i got a text from mac, it was a link... to mia's new instagram post, of course. i just gave up and checked it out.

she is absolutely gorgeous

i follow her and like her post and comment something simple not wanting to be weird. i basically stalk her account. i scroll down to other pictures and she looks beautiful in every single one. minutes later, she follows me back.

i stare at my dms wondering whether or not i should say anything to her. do i tell her i think she's cute? do i say i'm makena's friend? will she think i'm weird? ughh this is harder than i thought. fuck it. i'm not gonna pussy out. i click on her name and type.

mia's pov

daniel is so sweet. mac tells me a bunch of stuff about him. she says how funny and nice and chill he is. i believe her, even though sometimes she over exaggerates things.

when daniel dmed me, i didn't show mac. i didn't want her to take my phone and type for me. so i just told her i was texting my mom. but when he sent that heart, i had to show her. i didn't know what to send back. heart, or no heart? she saw the dms and gasped and like expected, snatched my phone from my hands and started typing. i start telling her to not send anything before showing me it, but she cuts me off, "too late".

i snatch my phone back and see what she sent him. 'bye❤️'. was that too forward? will he think i'm weird? god i hope not.

MY FIRST STORY WHAT!!!!! this chapter was just introducing daniel and mia and like giving some background info. it's kinda short but whatever. oh and for this story there will be two writers. me (Rachel) and Louisa. we'll lyk who's the one that's posting so that there isn't any confusion:). well i hope you enjoyed this first chapter.❤️❤️
