Ghost Of You

“I can’t believe we have front row seats to the One Direction tour!” My cousin, Makayla, exclaimed. “I know it is seriously a dream come true!” My other cousin, Serra, cried. I laughed as I drove to the arena. “Aren’t you excited, Maya?” Serra asked me. “Of course I am! It would be even better if I knew Liam would fall in love with me tonight,” I joked as I parked the car.

My stomach did flips the whole walk to the venue. I hadn't left my apartment in about three months. I didn't feel right coming here not after everything that has happened, but I couldn't let my cousins know that. We have been so excited about this ever since we found out he had bought our tickets for us. The girls were chatting away about how excited they were about tonight while I was panicking about everything that could possibly go wrong, but then again I had locked myself in my apartment away from the world for so long that its the only thing I could do.

(Liam’s POV)

“Mate, I know you are still upset that Sophia broke up with you, but we have a show to do!” Harry exclaimed. “Thanks for the support, Harold,” I joked.

(Maya’s POV)

We were so close to the stage I thought I was going to die. “This is the best night ever!” Makayla exclaimed. “Maybe Niall will see me and fall in love!” Serra cried. “Keep dreaming,” I say with a laugh. I watched as crazed fans piled into their seats carrying signs that asked the guys to marry them or pull them on stage. Don't they know that's only in the movies?

(Liam’s POV)

“Maybe your girl is out there tonight,” Louis told me. “A fan?” I ask him confused. “You never know, lad, you never know,” He told me. “I don’t think I’m ready to get back into anything,” I told him. “Understandable, but keep your eye open,” he suggested.

Throughout the concert I couldn’t keep my eyes off this girl in the front row. I smiled as she sang and danced around. She knew every word to every song and her smile was beautiful. “Check her out,” I whispered to Harry and pointed her out.

(Maya’s POV)

“Maya, don’t be alarmed but I think Liam is point at you,” Serra told me. I just laughed it off. Soon a big buff guy with a one direction VIP pass around his neck came over to me. “Miss, can you come with me for a minute?” He asked. Makayla and Serra motioned for me to follow him. “What’s going on?” I asked him. “Liam wants to sing with you,” He tells me. “WHAT?!” I cry. He leads me on stage and Liam comes over to me. “Hey pretty girl, what’s your name?” He asked handed him a microphone.

“Maya,” I tell him. “Well, I have been noticing you all night and you are incredible gorgeous,” He tells with a smile. “Thanks, you’re not that bad either,” I joked. Everyone laughs. I can hear Makayla and Serra cheering for me. “What is your favorite song that we sing?” Harry asks me. “Oh, I don’t have just one,” I tell him. “Well, you will have to stay on stage with us until you hear them all,” Niall tells me. “Really?!” I shirk. “Yes, really, under one condition,”  Liam says with a smirk.

“What’s that?” I asked confused. They rest of the band members looked as confused as I am. “You be my girlfriend,” Liam says with a smile. Everyone in the in the audience gasps. I look at Makayla and Serra who look stunned.

“Me? You want me to be your girlfriend?” I asked in disbelief.  “Yes, you. I have never seen someone so beautiful and carefree before,” He admits. I couldn’t help but smile. “So what do you say, love?” He asked me. “You probably should say yes,” Harry tells me. “Wait, before I agree to this, is this some type of joke?” I asked.

“Sorry, love, but it’s not. We had no idea he was going to do this,” Louis tells me. I smiled finally I was going to be my fairytale love. “Yes, Liam, I will be your girlfriend,” I said with a smile. A band member takes the microphones out of our hands and Liam hugs me. The moment I have dreamed about forever finally happened in front of the whole state of Nebraska, but it happened. Secretly I’m freaking out inside but I had to keep my cool.

“What song do you want us to do next?” Niall asked us. I looked at Makayla and Serra. “ROCK ME!!” They cry. “Rock me.” I tell Niall.  “Excellent choice!” Zayne exclaims.

After the song I went with the guys while they did a costume change and I went with Lou for a drink of water. “Hey don’t take her!” Liam joked as I went with her. “Sorry, Liam, she doesn’t want you!” Lou joked back. I couldn’t believe this was all happening.

“Are you here alone?” Lou asked me. “No my cousins are here too,” I tell her. “Where?” She asked. “Front row.” I reply. She says something into her walkie-talkie and then looks back at me. “Are you ready for all of this?” She asked. “I’m nervous,” I confess. “It’s okay to be, but you will have a blast,” She assures me.

Soon Liam takes me by the hand and rushes me with them. “What is going on?” I ask as I try to keep up. “We need to get back out there!” He cries. “Why do I have go?” I asked him. “Because I want you too!” He yelled.

(Liam’s POV)

That night having her with me was amazing. It felt perfect. I couldn’t just leave her here. After the concert her and her cousins came on our tour bus to hang out for awhile. Simon stayed close by. “Elle, I’ll be right back,” I told and excused myself from the group and walked over to Simon.

(Maya’s POV)

I laughed as Harry told jokes that weren’t funny, but he thought they were. “Mate, you are going to make this beautiful girls leave with those bloody awful jokes,” Louis chuckled. I couldn’t help but laugh. 

“Maya, can I talk to you for a minute?” Liam asked me.  I nodded and followed him to what seemed to be the bunks. “So I talked to Simon and he said you could go on tour with us,” He told me. “What? Me? On? Tour?” I asked I couldn’t get the words to come out right.  He just laughed and nodded. “So will you?” He asked me. “Of course I will! But I have to get someone to collect my mail and everything at the apartment so they don’t think I moved out,” I told him. He just smiled and hugged me. “We will make it work!” Harry exclaims.
