Killian's POV
I was about to protest Emma leaving me alone with Neal but I knew Emma needed some time with Henry. And she just might tell him about his past. Luckily Neal only forgot the past couple of years or so. "So tell me what you're really doing here Hook." He says. Great we're talking. "Look I'm not here to cause any trouble. That's the last thing I want. All I need is for you to take this potion." I hold out the memory potion. "How do I know your not trying to poison me?" He asks cautiously. "Why the bloody hell would I want to poison you?" He shrugs. "I dunno. To get back at my dad or something. Look if you came here for revenge think about Henry. And Emma. They both need me and if you try to hurt-" I hold up my hand cutting him off. "I'm well past revenge trust me. It's a memory potion." I toss him the small bottle. He looks at the bottle then at me warily. He looks down at the bottle again and slowly drinks it all. Suddenly he looks up at me as he finally remembers. Just then Emma comes through the door and tells Henry to go to his room. "We have a problem." She says once Henry's out of earshot. Wonderful. What could be wrong now? "What is it now?" I ask pretty pissed with all these complications. "Henry's girlfriend. She-" "Henry has a girlfriend?" Neal and I say in unison and both very shocked. "Yes and you need to keep a better eye on your son." "Yeah well I'm not the one who left for a year." She shoots him a warning look and he shuts up.
"Anyways Henry's girlfriend decided to eavesdrop on our little talk. I talked to her privately for a little while before I noticed something." She puts the book on the counter and opens it to a page with a young girl and Ariel I believe. "That girl is Henry's girlfriend. Monica." "But that's Ariel's daughter, Melody." I say confused. "Yes it is. See that night at the ball Ariel and Eric got to know each other a little more than planned. But this book was made for Henry so they barely even hinted at it. Anyways once Ariel gave birth to a human child her father made her give up Melody. They sent Melody to a foster home here and changed her name to Monica. Monica is now living with her so called sister and sister's husband. See Monica was adopted at a young age. But the parents died soon after and her sister never told Monica that she was adopted or that their parents died." "Where'd you get all this from?" I ask as Neal is still trying to understand. "It wasn't hard. I talked to Monica and knew she looked an awful like someone in the book. I talked to her sister and she explained the rest." "So what? Are we just going to take Monica to Storybrooke?" Neal asks. "Why not? She doesn't know anything about her past." "Where is Monica right now?" I ask. "With her sister. Neal why don't you and Henry pack while Killian and I go get Monica?" He nods and starts to go pack. Uh-oh we're going to Storybrooke. As Emma and I walk out I knew this was my only chance to tell her.
Emma and I walk out the door, to her, as she called it, car, in silence. The kind of silence that makes you wanna scream at the top of your lungs and jump out the closest window. When we get to the metal contraption she leans against her it and looks at me with a raised eyebrow. "What?" I ask her knowing there's something she wants to talk about. "What's wrong?" She ask. I open my mouth to say something but she cuts me off. "And don't say nothings wrong because I can tell that something is wrong." I sigh giving up. "Alright there is something...." She raises an eyebrow and I walk over closer to her. "You know I could tell you...." I wrap my arms around her waist pulling her closer. "Or we could do this." I lean in and kiss her passionately. She puts her hands on my chest and pushes me away, though I still keep my arms around her. "Killian...please. Something's wrong. Did something happen in the past year?" "No!" I raise my voice a little hoping she wouldn't be able to tell I was lying. Something did happen but, although this might be my only chance to tell her, Emma's already on edge as it is. "Nothing happened I promise. It's just I don't think bringing this girl to Storybrooke is such a good idea." "And leaving her here is better?" She says dropping the first idea, thank god. "Leaving her here only guessing who her parents might be. Only hearing stories from her adoptive parents, whom she thinks are her real parents, from her sister. Never knowing only guessing who they were or wait they looked like. That's the worst fate imaginable. She deserves to know who her real parents are. Everyone deserves to know. She's coming back with us." I smile at her and give her a kiss. "And that is why I love you." She looks at me a little shocked. "I...I...uh...." I can tell she's still unsure about how she feels. "It's alright. You don't have to say it right now. I'd rather you never say it than say it and still be unsure about the whether it's true or not." She looked relieved. "But know one thing. No matter how many adventure we go on, no matter how many disagreements we go through, no matter how many times we get separated, I will always ,love you." She grinned and gave me a kiss. "Thank you." She whispered giving me a hug. "For what?" I hug her back smiling. "For saying that. For loving me. For standing by me although I've tried to push you away countless times." I smile even wider. "It was my pleasure. Now come on. Let's go." She let's go of me and as we get into her car I swear I heard her say in the faintest whisper. "I love you too Killian."
