PLANE RIDE

Marshmallow clouds

Dance on the wall of the sky

Buildings litter the ground

Like garbage on the street

And cars act like toys

as they sit neatly in rows.

Snow capped mountains reach for our plane

But only wisk us by their fingertips.

trees only make mountains look like

They were dipped in green paint

With trails that lead to nowhere.

as we get higher and higher

the ground has trees in patterns where

Trees randomly stand

just like the small squiggly lines

Like the ones in the sand

by the ocean.

Land is flat flat flat

And I can see forever.

The sun overcomes

My sight

and warm rays cover my face

Making stars croud the lids of my eyes

And when I squint

I can see the

Rivers

Lakes

Farms

Mountains

And cities.

and my imagination runs wild

As I peer out the window.
