I started looking at Nate out of the corner of my eye. I have never really looked at him before and I have to say he's pretty cute. He's short almost black hair made his natural tan show more some how. I loved the way his eyes sparkled when he smiled at you.

Nate caught me looking at him and turned his face towards me, "Why are you looking at me like that?"

"You're really cute no wonder all the girls fall all over you." I said with a blush creeping onto my face.

"Well ain't you sweet." he said jokingly.

I felt his hand touch the top of mine, I looked down at them and intertwined them. His hand was warm and kind of soft, I felt tingles shot up my arm. It wasn't uncomfortable it was sort of pleasant in an odd way.

"Will everybody please stand for the pledge." the principle's voiced boomed over the speakers.

We all stood, I love being in a crowd and everyone standing at the same time I think it's just the coolest thing.

I felt a sneeze coming so I let go of Nate's hand and covered my mouth. I felt something hit my back rather hard so I turned around to see what it was.

I turned my body and felt something hard hit my chest, the breath was knocked out of me and suddenly I was flying backwards in the air. I felt my back hit the bleachers as I rolled down them, I hit the hardwood floor and heard a sickening crack as my head connected with it. Darkness invaded my vision suddenly....

******************************

I awoke to a beeping next to my head, I raised up slightly and felt my head throb with just the simple movement. I raise my hand up to the back of my head, where the pain was the worse, and my hand jerked backwards. I looked down and noticed the wires and tubes stuck all in my right arm where my elbow bent.

I looked towards my left and saw a cute dark headed boy sitting in the chair beside my bed, his head was lent back on the seat and he looked like he was asleep.

I heard the door open to my room and my mom stuck her head into the door and smiled at me, "Hey honey how are you feeling?" she asked.

"I'm okay just a little confused...Ummm mom who's the boy beside me."

"I'm Nate we're best friends." said the boy beside me in the chair.

"Oh I don't remember you." I looked him over he was very attractive.

"I'm going to go get the doctor and tell him your up." my mom said getting up and leaving the room.

Nat smiled at me and I notice his eyes twinkled when he did. I gasped, "I do remember you!" I exclaimed pointing at him.

"You just said that you didn't remember me and now you do??" I could hear the doubt in his voice

"Well not exactly I remember you, but I don't know how I remember you...if that makes any sense."

"Yeah it does." he said laughing. He's laugh was deep and it make my cheeks warm. I looked down at my lap and I heard my mom and the doctor outside of the door.

"Well hello Miss Banks how are you?" the doctor asked looking at a chart.

"Fine how are you?"

He laughed at me "I'm very well thank you for asking."

He looked at the monitors beside me and check all my vitals, "Well it looks like I can take all of this stuff out of your arm it can't be comfortable."

After he took it out I reached to the back of my head and felt a bump. "Miss Banks you fell down the bleachers at your school when you hit the ground your head hit first taking all the force." he walked closer to me and examined the back of my head.

"You have temporary memory loss, you can get it back one out of two ways. You can either have a trigger which is when you find something an object of some sort and all of your memory rushes back. Or it will gradually come back with time." he said simply

"You are free to go." he said then looked at my mother. "If you'll follow me I have some paperwork you need to fill out."

I looked over at Nate and he was staring at me I started to feel a little embarrassed, "Why are you looking at me like that?"

"I don't know," he looked down and then stood up. "I'm sorry but I have leave Nat my dad said he's here and ready to go."

I smiled at what he called me, "Nat?"

"Oh my bad it's just a habit I guess." he said looking at the floor again.

"Don't worry about it I like it...it's normal."

"Sorry but I really got to go." he said. he lend down like he was going to hug me.

I sat up on my knees and wrapped my arms around his shoulders he hugged me back and I could feel tingles running through me and my heart beat speed up.

We let go and he walked out of the room with a small smile on his face. As soon as the door closed behind him it opened again. A girl wit dark hair stood in front of my smiling widely, "Heyyyyyyyyy Natalieeeee." she said dragging out her words. "My names Tiffany and WE are very close friends."

"Oh that's cool"

The door opened again and my mother walked in. "Hey Tiffany are you riding home with us?" my mom asked.

"Yeah, if you don't mind"

"That's fine Natalie get your stuff and we can go." my mom said as I hopped out of the bed.
