I stood there stunned, Did I hear him right? "Excuse me, what did you say?" I asked confusion clear in my voice.

"I want to take you out on a date...if that's okay with you" he said slowly.

"I don't think that's such a good idea." I said walking back to the house.

"Please Natalie, I know I made a lot of mistakes when it comes to you but I want to make up for them." He grabbed my hand and spun me around making me face him.

I felt my heart race at how close our faces where and I saw his eyes dart to my lips. His eyes closed and he started leaning forward and I felt myself panic. I turned my head so his lips landed on my cheek.

I heard the door open behind us and I pushed Tanner away from me and turned around. Nate stood there looking hurt and confused. He looked between Tanner and I "I'm sorry I'll leave you two alone."

"No Nate wait it wasn't like the he tried to kiss me and I turned my head so he kissed my cheek instead." I said walking up the porch to him.

"It doesn't matter anyways I know you still have feelings for him." his head dropped and his feet became the most interesting thing ever.

"He's not the one I remember" I said honestly. I don't remember him I only remember Nate and I knew that I had feelings for him. I just didn't know if he had feelings for me to.

"Come on let's get back to the party" he said grabbing my arm and opening the door again.

I didn't look back to see Tanner standing there because I knew if I did I would want to ask questions again. It didn't make sense to me why he wouldn't just tell me why we broke up. What did he mean by he made a lot of mistakes with me and what in the world made him try to kiss me.

"So what did he want to talk to you about?" Nate asked.

"He asked me out" I said shrugging like it was no big deal.

Nate stopped dead in his tracks bringing me to a halt too. I looked over my shoulder at him and smiled. "What's wrong?"

"What did you say?" he asked ignoring my question.

"No, I don't like him. Heck I just met him and I like somebody else."

"That's good he's not a good guy for you."

We started walking again but this time he didn't hold onto me. I missed his touch already. He was walking in front of me a little so I stared at the back of his head wondering what he was thinking also.

He didn't ask me who I liked so I figured he didn't even notice that part. It kind of made me mad the way he was all worried about me dating Tanner but yet he only thinks of me as a friend. Maybe he was just a protective friend and worried about me a lot. Yeah I bet that was it.

I still in my internal debt and didn't notice we had stopped. I felt someone shaking my arm and I saw Ethan and Nate looking at me like I had three heads.

"What?" I asked looking between the two of them.

"I was talking to you." Ethan said.

"Oh I'm sorry what did you say?"

"I asked if you was going to Tiffany's tonight?"

"Of course she is" Tiffany answered for me walking up right when he asked. "She comes over every Friday and we aren't going to stop just because of a little memory loss."

"A little she don't even remember you're name" Nate commented.

"That's why she needs to come over so I can tell her everything she needs to know about people" Tiffany said.

"I'm fine with it as long as my mom is." I said interrupting the argument.

"Great I'll go ask" she said running off to go find her.

The party was over and Ethan, Nate, Tiffany and I was cleaning up, it wasn't to bad there was just a lot of empty cups in random places. My mom had said yes to me going over to Tiffany's and I was pretty excited.

I didn't remember anything and she was one of the few people who acted normal around me. I couldn't wait for tonight I really needed to talk to somebody about the feelings I was having towards Nate.
