We left the hospital and started walking to the parking lot. I noticed my mom kept looking around and looked a little worried.
"So has Nate confessed his love for you yet?" Tiffany asked making me whirl around.
"What are you talking about?"
"You should have seen it when you fell. He was the first one down to you he looked so worried, well we all was but he was about to have a heart attack. He even carried you down the stairs so you could get to the ambulance and he stayed at the hospital until you woke up." she said looking proud of him.
"Well if he did all of that then why did he leave so fast after I woke up from the hospital?" I asked putting my hands on my hips challengingly.
"I don't know" she said looking around not meeting my eyes. I had a feeling she was lying to me, but I just met her so I couldn't really tell.
We looked at my mom and she was still looking around with a lost look on her face. "Mom do you know where the car is?"
"Yes I do I just don't remember if we turn left or right."
I grabbed the keys out of her hand and pressed the lock button. We heard a horn towards the left "What would you do without me mom?" I asked smiling widely.
"I'd have a lot less headaches." she grumbled walking to the car and unlocking it.
Tiffany got in the front seat so I sat in the back and scooted over in the middle so we could still talk. Tiffany start messing with the radio and stopped on a song and started singing. "What's this?"
"Music oh no you forgot what music was. NO! The worlds coming to an end," Tiffany screamed raising her hands towards the sky.
"No you crack head what is this song" I said laughing at her dramatic display.
"Be a little more specific next time and it's Wide Awake by Katy Perry. You love this song you sing it constantly." she said rolling her eyes.
"Here you go Natalie." my mom said interrupting us. She handed me a white thing that had a screen that covered the whole front it was a little bigger than my palm.
"Is this a phone?" I asked suspiciously.
"Yep it's your's." she said looking at me in the rear view mirror.
"Ohh" I started playing around with it and opened it. I was surprised that I knew what I was doing with the thing. It was kind of confusing.
We pulled up at my house and we all got out, mom and Tiffany looked really excited about something. I opened the door a little surprised that it was unlocked, but what did I know I had memory loss.
As soon as the door was open fully, I heard people scream. "SURPRISE!"
I screamed in shock and everybody started laughing. I looked around at the unknown people with confusing clear on my face. Nate shoved his way through the crowd and walked up to me. "Sorry about this I thought it was a bad idea, but your mom wanted you to get to know the people you would be seeing often."
"Uhh it's fine just kind of scary. Do I really know all these people?" I asked looking around there was at least a hundred people crammed in our little living room.
He chuckled and I was struck again by the sound of it. "This isn't even half of them," he said looking at the crowd with me.
A boy walked up to me and he looked very familiar. Then it hit me who he was, "Hey Ethan."
"How did you remember me?"
"You're my cousin how could I not remember you look older than I remember but still." I said shrugging.
"Oh yeah I forgot we was cousins."
"What? Why? Are we not friends anymore?" I asked surprised. We was best friends last time I remembered we did everything together.
"Yeah of course we're still friends we hang out all the time. I just didn't think about you remembering me blond moment I guess.
I laughed, "You're brown headed dude." I said laughing harder.
"You haven't changed it doesn't matter if you remember or not you're still rude," he said his voice raising and walked off.
"Come on I'll introduce you to all these people." Nate said smiling leading me into the crowd of people.
