Mrs. Weasley's original description of 'inviting a few people for tea,' was not exactly accurate. There was noise everywhere in the borrow, kids running around everywhere, and delicious looking food adorned the tables. Harry grinned, spotting his friends amongst the crowds. He let his girlfriend lead him, stopping to greet people on the way.
"I hope your mum knows; although I am very thankful, simply spending time with the lot of you would have been fine," he says, having to speak rather loudly to be heard.
Ron takes a sip of his butter beer shrugging, "Dad was promoted, the grangers were found, You-Know-Who is dead, and you've made it to age eighteen mate! Why wouldn't we celebrate?!"
Ginny takes Ron's cup from his hands, taking a whiff. Sure enough, the butter beer was laced with liquor, a strong one at that. She shows it to Harry, an amused expression playing on her face. They simply handed it back to Ron, who was now blabbering about how scary unicorns really are.
"Let's go outside?" Harry whispers in Ginny's ear. She nods, following him out. It's not that hard to find a place to sit; they do this all the time. Taking his jacket off, he places it on the floor, laying his head on it and waiting for Ginny to do the same.
She does.
He takes a hold of her hand, enjoying the silence. The warmth of the summer was begging to fade, and there was actually a bit of a chill. The stars were bright in the country, and beautiful in a way they just weren't on Number 4 Private Drive. There really weren't any words Harry could use to describe how much love he had for this place, and how much he would miss it once he finally moved into Sirius' old house completely.
Her turns to Ginny, her red hair glistening in the moonlight. "Can you imagine us after Hogwarts?"
She searches his eyes, probably thinking of what to reply.
"Yea... you and Hermione will be Aurors and Ron will do something like... coach quidditch or something," she rabbles, observing the way Harry plays wither hands as she speaks. "Me... I don't know... the only thing I really want is to play quidditch, but that's a pretty long shot."
"I think you can do it," Harry says confidently.
Anyone who said otherwise had to have never seen Ginny on the field. She was amazing. There were rumors going around that she was only on the team because she was close to Harry, but that was only before her first match. Anyone who continued to talk about it after had to be lying to themselves.
"It's dangerous," she said, looking back up.
"I think you can do it," her boyfriend repeated.
It was hard for Harry to believe that after everything she'd gone through, she'd be afraid of something that came so naturally to her.
"I'm pretty short, scouts don't usually like that," Ginny continues.
"Oh alright," Harry rolled his eyes. "Do what your dad does."
She turned to him incredulously, "In an office? But that's boring."
"Exactly!" Harry exclaimed. "Who cares if you're short? You're fast! It's dangerous? You survived a war, Gin, you're really scared of falling off a broom? And so what if it's a long shot?"
He gets up and leans close, placing a hand on either side of her face, "in my six years, seven if you count this year, of playing, I've never seen someone play like you."
She smiles, reaching up to wrap her arms around his neck, and pull him in for a kiss. "You're gorgeous."
"That's it?" He smirks.
"Don't push it," she warns and they laugh.
