18.) Blossom Tears

*BEEP* *BEEP *BEEP*

I groan loudly looking for an alarm slapping my hand around for my night stand which wasn't there. I slowly open my eyes as they are still adjusting to the bright light. "What the.." I look around and saw I was in the living room. That's when flashbacks of last night popped into my brain.

I looked around for them but didn't see them. I sighed and quickly rushed upstairs to get dressed for school. I turned off my alarm clock and took a quick shower. I braided my hair into two pieces and pinned back the extra strands. I applied light makeup and put on my uniform.

I grabbed my back pack and phone and rushed out of the house. I called Hana to tell her the situation on Chanmi. I dialed her number and the phone rung four times before she picked it up.

"Hello?"

"Hey I have a problem. Are you away from Chanmi?"

"Yeah why?"

"The foster care services are taking her away because I'm not her legal guardian and mom is gone."

"What your kidding?!!"

"No I'm not. Their coming soon to get her."

"How are you so calm??"

"I'm not. But there's no use in crying anymore. There's nothing I can do."

"Yeah I suppose your right. Okay I'll see you at school."

I hung up the phone and slid it into my backpack. Half way to school, a hand slid around my waist and pulled me into their chest. I grunt loudly as the person's chest was hard as a rock. I quickly look up to see N's face deadly close to mine.

I gasped loudly and shoved him away from me. "Chill it's me." He said with a light chuckle afterwards. I looked around us to see if it was only him and to my luck, it is. "Where are the others?" I asked out of pure panic as I was still scared from yesterday. "They left already." He said quickly.

I felt his hold tighten on my waist causing me to grab his hand and pull it off me. "Can you please stop!" I shouted. N wasn't even phased at all and placed his hand back on my waist. I attempted to throw his hand off my waist a second time but as soon as he let go he placed his hand around the back of my neck.

He held tightly and moved my face to his. His breathe fanned my face and I noticed his eyes are now red. They were so glossy that I could see my reflection in his eyes. "Stop resisting us. No matter what you do, no matter where you hide. We know where u are and know what you feel. Got it?" He said darkly.

I nodded causing his grip on my neck to loosen but he still didn't let go. His eyes flickered down to my lips causing me to tremble slightly. He leaned forward until his lips grazed mine. He stopped mid kiss and blew on my face. I flinched and quickly opened my eyes. "So start behaving." And walked ahead of me.

I stood there dumbfounded at what just happened. I turned around to see him walking with his hands in his pockets. His hair and messy tie blew in the wind. I sighed and began walking in the same direction as N. We finally arrived at school and I immediately locked eyes with Hana.

"Soo Mi!" She yelled and ran at me. She collided with me in a deep hug. "Hana I can't breathe!" I choked out. "I'm sorry. Are you okay??" I nodded slightly. "Yeah. I'll be fine with time. I can still see her so I guess she'll be better off." She nodded and wrapped her hands around my arm. She talked about random things to try and get me to laugh and it worked.

We walked to class and I ignored the stares from the boys and just walked to my seat. "We should take a picture together. We haven't since last semester." She pouted. "Here." I pulled out my phone and turned on the camera. "1-2-3.." As soon as I take the picture, Hongbin popped up behind us and photo bombed us. "Yah!" I yelled at Hongbin.

He laughed and his dimples started to show. "It's not funny!" I shouted causing everyone's head to whip around and stare at me. "Yah! Get back to your own business!" Ravi shouted at the class. "He's been here less than a month and thinks he owns this class." I scoffed loudly that I'm pretty sure Ravi heard me.

"Alright class! Get in your seats and let's get started." Mr. Sungjoon yelled. Everyone shuffled to their seats and pulled out their notebooks for this class. "Okay today, with your assigned partner, you will create a 3 slide presentation on Thanksgiving traditions around the world."

Some people were excited and others were disappointed. A girl raised her hand immediately after we was told what to do. "Do we have to present them?" She asked with an annoying preppy voice. "Yes." He said rather coldly. The girl sulked into her seat and huffed. "Alright. Your partners are right here on this list along with the countries you were assigned to."

I stood up and cut through the crowd to see my partner and country. I took a breathe in before I looked at the list.

"Soo Mi & Hongbin (Mexico)"

"Are you kidding me!" I said rather loudly causing everyone to look at me once again. "Is there an problem?" Mr. Sungjoon looked at me. "Uhh Ani.." I said shyly. "Okay return to your seats. These are due by the end of the week. Class is dismissed."

My footsteps were heavy as I walked back to my seat. "This is ridiculous." I mumbled to myself. "Who's your partner?" I asked Hana who was packing her book. "Youngmin." She rolled her eyes and looked back at me. I nervously chuckled and rolled mine too.

At least yours is human.
