Shit shit shit! I am so late!
I quickly run-up to the elevator, the doors on which are now sliding shut.

"Wait!" I call out to the squished in occupants, with no luck.
The doors mockingly close right in my face as I puff out an exasperated breath.

I briefly contemplated taking the stairs instead of waiting for the next lift but decide I'm already sweating enough from my run from the missed bus.

I press the up button and take the opportunity to try and flatten the loose strands of my escaping curly brown hair from the bun I hastily chucked it into this morning.

I guess I'm already late enough as it is, surely Mr Benson won't get madder at 2 more minutes being added.

I briefly notice someone step up next to me to wait for the elevator as well. I give them a quick nod without looking in their direction, I'm sure my cheeks are still red.

Thankfully the next lift appears with a light ding. Sighing gratefully I step inside and smooth my white blouse down. I press the button for the 10th floor and politely turn to the other man who has entered after me.

"Which floor?" I say looking up to meet ice-cold grey eyes.

The doors slide closed and we begin moving as I notice how tall he is now that we are in a more confined space.

He regards me for a moment, "Level 40, please" he replies curtly, his eyes travelling down to my ass, before up at the ceiling and away.

I falter for just a moment, did I see that right? Before pressing the button for the top floor of the building.

Isn't that where the head of the company's office is, I think as I sneak a glance up at him sideways. He looks far too young, surely not...

Self consciously I twist to look at the back of my grey pencil skirt after his eyes had lingered there.

I nervously tuck in the back of my blouse before noticing a bright pink spotted sock sticking to my bum!
I gasp in shock and quickly tear the static clung item off, stuffing it into my worn small leather backpack.

I hear what I think is a small chuckle escaping the lips of the gentleman standing next to me. I look up at him and sure enough, I see that he's biting his bottom lip to keep from smiling.
I can't help but smile half-heartedly, embarrassed for myself.

He turns to face me fully and it's only then that I notice something I should have before, but I guess I was being too polite to stare.

This man is gorgeous! Oh, he's so handsome and he's just seen me with a sock stuck to my ass!

His grey eyes glint with reserved humour, his face looks like a Greek God with an astonishingly well-groomed beard! His hard jawline is visible though and his messy brown hair is styled in a nice swoop on top as well.
In fact, I notice suddenly how well put together he is overall, his suit clearly tailored to fit his lean body perfectly.

Just as I'm reaching his well-polished shoes the elevator stops and the doors open up on the ever-familiar 10th floor where the mailroom resides.

He nods towards me politely and gestures at the open doors for me to exit.
I step out slowly, glancing back to get one last look at the Calvin Klein model I've just shared a small space with when it dawns on me.
Shit, I'm late, that's right!

I turn abruptly as the man standing behind must get to enjoy the hilarious sight of me running up the corridor. The lift lingers open far too long before the doors slide shut once more.
