Chapter 12: Their Backstory

After all the chaos, the heroes finally rode in the dragons and continued their journey to go to the location of the Di-Gem.
Now with Jack Frost flying with them.
All of them flew in an uneasy atmosphere. No one dared to talk. Everyone just follows Rosela, leading them, with Jack Frost beside her.
...
CHAT NOIR (Adrien): "You're all quiet. Where will we stay for the night? It is nearly sunset."
...
Everyone realized it.
But when they looked below, all they could see are tall trees. No place to land for them with their gigantic dragons.
...
LADYBUG (Marinette): "Where are we exactly?"
PRINCESS ROSELA: "We are in Troll Forest."
CHAT NOIR (Felix): *gulps* "Are there any trolls in here? Giant... trolls?"
PRINCESS ROSELA: "Of course! This is not called the 'TROLL forest' for nothing."
LADYBUG (Marinette): "So, where will we land?"
LADYBUG (Bridgette): "More like, how will we land?"
...
Everyone looked at Rosela, who's face is  so serious.
...
PRINCESS ROSELA: "No worries. We'll land here."
LADYBUG (Marinette): "Here?!"
LADYBUG (Bridgette): "Here where?!"
PRINCESS ROSELA: *grins* "Right here. Jump on the count of three!"
CHAT NOIR (Felix): "NO!"
...
The dragons roared and when you look closely, it would seem like they are showing a mischievous grin. Rosela smiled.

PRINCESS ROSELA: "On three."
LADYBUG (Bridgette): "Wait... what?!"
PRINCESS ROSELA: "1..."
LADYBUG (Marinette): "If we jump, we're dead!"
PRINCESS ROSELA: "2..."
CHAT NOIR (Felix): "Are you kidding me?!"
PRINCESS ROSELA: "3!"
...
The dragons roared and threw their riders overboard.
Everyone screamed.
Ellen Fiera managed to open up her wings and glide down. Rosela openned her angel-like wings and glided as well. Ellen Fiera took Adrien and Felix on their hands and Jack Frost helped her. Rosela took the two Ladybugs. Rosela noticed that Jack Frost and Ellen Fiera looked at each other, but broke their stares quickly.
Marinette and Bridgette saw it, too. And so does Felix and Adrien. All four heroes looked at Rosela with a tell-us-what-is-up-with-these-two look. Rosela just nodded.
All of them landed in a bit open space. Some trees are their walls and the trees' leaves became their roof.
Rosela used her magic to make fire.

PRINCESS ROSELA: "There."
CHAT NOIR (Adrien): "Wait. Where did the dragons go?"
...
Six dragons walked out behind Rosela.
...
JACK FROST: "Like what?!"
PRINCESS ROSELA: "The dragons we rode have the ability to shrink sizes. Earlier, you guys saw them bigger than us. Now, the dragons are only up to my waist."
...
Everyone was astonished. Except for Ellen who read about it in a book back at Owron Canora.
All of them sat down around the fire. Rosela used her magic to make food. She made fried chicken, apples, water, and some marshmallows.
All of them ate silently.
Adrien is the first one to break the silence.
...
CHAT NOIR (Adrien): "Ellen?"
ELLEN FIERA: "Yeah?"
CHAT NOIR (Adrien): "Jack Frost?"
JACK FROST: "Hm?"
CHAT NOIR (Adrien): "Care to tell us what has happened to the both of you?"
LADYBUG (Marinette): "Chat!"
CHAT NOIR (Adrien): "What?! Don't we deserve to know?"
LADYBUG (Marinette): "This isn't the perfect time to-"
JACK FROST: "Well..."
...
Everyone looked at Jack.
He is still staring at his food.
...
JACK FROST: "Ellen has been very important to me. You see, before I met Ellen, I've been very close to Rosela to the point that I fell in love with her."
...
Rosela was shocked and choke her food. Felix is the one sitting in her left side so he took Rosela's glass of water and gave it to her while Marinette pats her back. When Rosela felt better. Jack continued her story after laughing a bit.

PRINCESS ROSELA: "Nice to see that me choking would finally make you laugh."
JACK FROST: "Hehe. Well..."
ELLEN FIERA: "Continue."
...
Everyone looked at Ellen. She is so serious that makes her look scary.
...
JACK FROST: "Ehem. So, uhm... well. When Rosela left, I became so sad. After a few years of grief,  I decided to go into the woods. There, I met Ellen. We've been together for a long time since then. While Rosela is doing other quests, I've been doing my job as a Guardian with Ellen. We work together. Until one day, I confessed to myself that it is time to move on from my feelings to Rosela. I fell in love... with Ellen."

He looked up and stared at Ellen.
Ellen stared back at him.
...
PRINCESS ROSELA: "And she fell in love with you."
JACK FROST: *still looking at Ellen, now frowning.* "But when she died, I felt bad. Even worst than the time when Rosela left me. I thought she'll never come back. I thought I'll never see her again! Until..."
...
Jack looked away.
Now it is Ellen's turn. She did explain while looking at Jack.
...
ELLEN FIERA: "When I died because of that guy who killed someone to take the girl who doesn't even love him, I also thought I wouldn't be able to see you forever. Until I was given another chance in life. I saw the Mother Gem in a vision. Then the next thing I knew, I'm in Owron Canora. As a Guardian of Love... and as a Miraculous hero. I tried to find a way to go back to the dimension where I met you. I really do. But the only way is using the Di-Gem and that is very dangerous. It could destroy the balance of the dimensions. So, I stayed and tried to be happy here."
...
Ellen walked closer to Jack. Marinette moved a bit to the left so Ellen could sit beside him.
...
ELLEN FIERA: "But I never became fully happy. Because I just left the boy I love back at North Pole."
...
Jack was shocked. He looked at Ellen who is smiling at him. He smiled back.
Jack hugged her and she hugged back.
To their surprise, everyone clapped hands and they broke from their hug.
...
PRINCESS ROSELA: "Good! Now you two are ok now!"
...
Everyone cheered loudly!
So loud that they haven't known that they woke up a hundred-aged troll from it's deep slumber nearby.
