My heart pounds,
It jumps at sudden jolts of flesh,
It climbs up and down inside of me.
It gnaws on my rib cage for freedom,
tries to climb through in between bones,
It weeps at the sight of you,
It rushes to my feet, to hurry towards you or away, I do not know.
It is merely confused, my mind tells it.
It is overridden with volatile emotions.
It does not trust itself.
My heart gasps for air.
My heart feels like it's dying a million deaths,
Little does it know that is the price of reality.
It was the price of loving you.
