Never Laugh at a Live Dragon

Chapter 1

HEY HEY HEY!!! *ice king voice* What's up people!? So how's everyones summer been? Mine's been AWESOME!! My writers beach vacation was a total success and that's why you're getting this. :D But sadly the vacaton must come to an end just like summer... It's depressing I know. But just enjoy it while it lasts! 

 I know fans won't like this but I'm only going to be updating once a month and maybe for special holidays.  Sorry! *hides behind a smurf* I'm trying so please don't kill me. Plus band camp is coming up next week so I wont be able to write as much cause I'll be gone from 9-5 every day till school starts. D: I'll try to write as much as I can but for now it'll be once a month. If I get way ahead in my chapters I may make it twice a month but that options still REALLY far off.

 There won't be a whole lot of romance in the first few chapters but there will be more later on I swear. Like I'll Royal Promise (for all you Adventure Timer fans out there) that it gets better. Just hang in there. I mean they can't fall in love at first sight can they? *shakes head* That just wouldn't work. Plus you would miss out on all the book violence. Hehehe!! But that's in a different chapter. But I swear it gets a lot more romantic (and funny and awkward in some places) later on in the story.

Oh and this is a pic of Ruinë if you wanna know what she looks like. She just doesnt have the wings, claws, and her hair is curly. *shurgs* It's hard to find pics anymore.

Oh and for all you people out there look at my friend's story called "Could It Get Weirder?" and her other stories. They're really good and she even based a character off the REAL me if you're wondering what I'm like. I'm just not boy crazy or anything though. Hahaha!!! Her username is Studynutcheerio97.        I’m about to tell you a tale, far from any ordinary tale you might have ever heard. It all started back… oh I’d say about 19 years ago. It wasn’t in any ordinary place though. No, this took place in the sacred place known to the mortals as the Elidhu realm, for it’s true name was long lost and forgotten. At the time, there was a great war between the light and underworld elidhu over the cruel fate of shapeshifters. Now mind you we aren’t talking about Werecats, These are people from different races who can transform into one or two different animals as well as their human form. Werecats can transform into any animal accept a dragon. But back to the story. The light elidhu thought it cruel to send shapeshifters into the underworld, but the underworld thought it fair to even out the balance of the light and dark. At first it was only arguments between the elidhu at council meetings, but then it turned into full on attacks between the realms. The underworld elidhu were under the order of their overlord Deyja and his son Ungwalë, while the light elidhu gave the leadership position to the one who they thought would help them win. That was Ruinë, the queen elidhu of the dragons, and her brother, Taura.  Taura was sent off with troops to storm some elidhu realms while Ruinë stayed in her realm to… well look and you’ll see.
     

      "I don't care if we lose the castle!" I exclaimed, my voice ringing all the way down the hallway.

      The library got silent, all eyes on me. Around me several generals trembled slightly in their chairs. One stood at his place at the table, a quiver slung around his shoulder and a bow hanging from the oak chair. His grim face was covered by a beard and, had I been a normal girl and not a tomboy, I might have thought him rather dashing.

      "Then what should we do, m'lady? Move the men and lose control of yet another of our realms!? It's unheard of. That's the only stronghold between the enemy and the dwarf realm," he argued with his eyes fixated on me.
