Chapter 14 - the fall

Adrien's pov
Miss bustier-"and the winner for the boys costume is..... Felix Agreste"

Everyone started clapping for them but I was fuming, why does my brother get everything in life, a loving carer, no responsibilities, the brains, looks, the girls- no not just any girls but the one girl I liked he just had to like the same one.

Once they started dancing I just couldn't take it anymore, I stormed out the room- not that anyone noticed anyway, everyone was gawing over my brother. I stormed off onto the roof just looking at the sky.

Mari's pov

I started dancing with Felix, he was such a good dancer we slow danced until many others joined us. I suddenly saw Adrien leave, but I don't think anyone else has noticed. I should really go check up on him- I did reject his offer to the dance after all.

Once an upbeat remix comes on Alya and Nino come over to us, once we are all in a group dance I slowly slide away to go find Adrien.

I go all around the school trying to find him but there is no use, I then remembered that our roof was flat so there could be a possibility the he is there.i go up 2 flights of stairs and not to my surprise he was there.

No ones pov

Mari-"hey"
Adrien-"hi"

Mari lies down next to Adrien who is just looking up at the stars.

Mari-"what's wrong?"
Adrien-"everything, everybody"
Mari-"well I'm here to listen"
Adrien-"it's nothing important and why are you here aren't you meant to be dancing with Felix?"
Mari-"there is lots of people dancing Felix will find somebody, but you are bye yourself and I wanted to see how you are doing"
Adrien-"Mari I'm fine just enjoy yourself"
Mari-"Adrien Agreste I'm not leaving until you tell me what's wrong"

Adrien and Mari both sit up facing each other but Adriens head is down so Mari can see him.

Adrien-"what do you think is wrong" he said with breakage in his voice
Mari-"Felix" she sighs
Adrien-"yup"
Mari-"well what about him"

Adrien looks up into Maris eyes, she noticed that they were watery almost about to overflow.

Adrien-"he has taken everything I love and treasure without even knowing it"
Mari-"what are you talking about"
Adrien-"just forget it"
Mari-"bu...."

Chloe comes barging in

Chloe-"Marinette!"
Mari-"umm yy-es"
Chloe-"how dare you win"
Mari-"what that was fair and square"
Chloe-"you don't deserve to win, I do"

They both started retreating backwards until they came to the edge.

Chloe whispers-"I could push you right now, but that would ruin me, remember I always win"

Then she retreated backward and left slamming the door and Adrien went over to Mari.

Adrien-"Mari are you ok"
Mari-"yeh im fine"
Adrien-"come on let's go back to the masquerade"
Mari-"uuhhh yeh sure"

Mari tried to go but her dress got tangled up on her heals and she falls off the roof. Lucky Adrien was there to catch one hand.

Adrien-"MARI DON'T LET GO!"
Mari-"HELP ME PLEASE IM SCARED"
Adrien-"PASS ME YOUR OTHER HAND SO I CAN PULL YOU UP"

Mari reaches her hand out and Adrien does the same once there hands connected Adrien pulled her up and hugged her like his life depended on it.

Adrien-"don't scare me like that you could have died!"
Mari-"I'm sorry, and thank you so much"
Adrien-"it's ok you are safe now"

Tears began to fall from two parts of eyes, they both hugged each other tighter.

Adrien-"I love you Marinette"

And he slammed a kiss in her, to Mari it was unexpected but eventually she melted into it.

Once the released they both smiled at each other

Felix-"what was all that screaming"
Mari-"Felix"
Felix-"oh hey Mari, what happened"
Mari-"oh um uh.."
Adrien-"she fell of the roof"
Felix-"WHAT!"
Mari-"yeah"
Adrien-"and we kissed"
Felix-"oh my god really"
Mari-"yeah"
Felix-"ok you know what Mari can you please choose, me or Adrien"
Mari-"Felix please don't make me chose, right Adrien"
Adrien-"sorry Mari but it is best for us all if you choose"
Mari-"oh... but I'm scared that if I choose one the other will hate me and we won't be friends and.."
Felix-"Mari you are rambling"
Mari-"oh uh sorry"
Adrien-"anyways whoever you choose we will respect your decision"
Felix-"yeah so don't be scared"
Mari-"ok thanks"
Felix-"well who do you choose"
Mari-"um I'm thinking... maybe Adrien..."
Adrien-"really" with wide eyes
Mari-"yep"
Felix-"well I hope you are happy together"
Mari-"Felix"
Felix-"I'm ok Mari, if you're happy then I'm happy"

Mari jumps onto Felix and gives him a hug

Mari-"your the best Felix"
Felix-"I know... now go to your new boyfriend"
Adrien-"Felix"
Felix-"yes br- Adrien"
Adrien-"thank you"
Felix-"anytime"

Adrien-"Mari"
Mari-"yeah"
Adrien-"Im happy you choose me"
Mari-"I'm happy to"

They all head down and dance until there feet fall of
