Chapter 6: Icicles

8 years... 8 years you've been with Weiss, finally having the guts to marry her, and... kids. She was so joyful when she had your first child... which was a girl. She had her mother's looks... white hair, pale skin, yet she had your eyes. They glinted as the light hits the eyes. Weiss just gave birth to her, and she was cuddling your daughter.

"(y/n)... look at her..."

You leaned forward, hearing Nix cooing softly. You smiled, gently placing your finger on her cheek, then stroking. She cooed loudly as you did that. "She's cute... just like you."

"You dunce..."

"What? Upset that she's cute just like you? Looks are-"

"It's not looks..." Weiss says, her crystal blue eyes were sparkling with joy, "I can't believe that you made this child..."

You leaned back, whistling. "Now... if I could-"

"Don't say another word." She says, coldly. Her crystal eyes soon became icicles, ready to piece anyone with her glares. "I don't want to hear your little rant about you not getting a son- I already have an annoying brother-"

"And you got a daughter who looks more like you. Stop complaining, Ice Queen." You chuckled as you called her that.

You remember when you first heard that name... back with Ruby and her friends...

"You dunce!" Weiss calls to Ruby, Blake, Yang, Jaune, Ren, and Nora. Everyone started to giggle when they heard her yell like that.

"Well then... the Ice Queen's back." Yang jokes, laughing.

You glanced back at Weiss, "Ice Queen?"

Weiss stared you down, "Don't question it! They gave me that nickname! Not me-"

"Technically you did." Blake says, smirking just a bit.

"Ah! What do-"

"You acted like a queen back then... always cold as ice."

"No I wasn't!"

"(y/n)!" You snapped out of it, hearing Weiss calling you back to reality. Her eyes were crumbling down, "Are you okay?" She asks, her voice was quivering.

"Huh? Oh... yeah, I'm fine." You smirked at her, still remembering that one memory.

"Is everything alright?"

"Yeah, it's just..."

"You seemed out of it..." She says, taking your hand. "(y/n), what's wrong?"

"Nothing... Weiss, it's nothing. It's just... it's just that I remember where I heard the phrase, 'Ice Queen.'"

She chuckles at the name, "Well... it's in the past, and it was a really good nickname. They weren't lying when they gave me that." Weiss then looks down at Nix, who was sleeping peacefully. "Anyways... it doesn't matter now. The gang's gonna be back in a while, to see my- oh, sorry, our precious snowflake..."

"Nix... it means 'snow', right?"

Weiss nodded. She was the one who came with the name, saying how Nix was important to her... saying how it was a family name. "Yeah... better keep the winter names in the family, am I right?"

You smiled, leaning forward to kiss her. "Yeah... whatever you choose... I'm fine with it, snow angel."
