Adelina yawned stretching her body as she awoke. She blinked, squinting her eyes as the sun hit her eyes through the window. Sitting up in her hammock she floated down to the ground. Just as she was about to open the door she took a double take at the bed.
"Lord Fairy King. My this is certainly a change of events. Are you and Sir Ban now getting along?" She asked with an amused smirk, dusting off the skirt of her dress.
King's amber eyes settled into a cold glower as the fairy was trapped in Ban's drunken grasp.
"Help me." He requested dully and her smirk grew wider.
"I'm sorry Lord Fairy King, but I don't answer to rudeness remember?""You're my advisor and you do what I say!" An extremely new king had snapped stomping his foot and glaring at a young girl of a fairy with a red headed bob cut.
She sneered back at him, sticking her tongue out. "Nuh uh! I'll advise you when you're nice to me! No Lord Fairy King should be such a meanie! Advisor doesn't mean I'm your servant!" She shouted back at him her cheeks growing red and tears of frustration pricking in her eyes.
Gosh, I didn't mean to make her cry. I just wanted her to come play with me.
Adelina's red eyes widened as Harlequin's voice entered her head. Once again the bond between Advisor and King of the Fairies. She bit her lip and looked up at him through her lashes.
"Maybe if you use a magic word I will. But only then will I do things for you. Momma always told me that no Advisor should answer to rudeness!"
"Will you please come play with me and my sister Elaine, Fairy King Advisor Adelina?"
She giggled and smiled with her eyes closed.
"Mhm~!"
Please Addy? Get me out of here?
Adelina giggled and nodded walking over to him. She stepped onto the bed careful and then dropped all her weight onto Ban.
"BAN GET UP, GOODNESS ME ALL THE BOOZE IS GONE!" She shouted, immediately winding on the floor and he jumped up. He freaked out for a few seconds then groaned helping Adelina up.
"Adeli~ if you ever do that again I'll kill ya~" He spoke in a sing song tone and left the room.
She shrugged and helped up an astonished King. "I sat in a cell for twenty years. Let me at least have a little fun." She quipped and he gave a small smile, his cheeks dusting pink.
Adelina left the room and walked down the Meliodas's room. She knocked softly on the door and he invited her in.
"Sir Meliodas? King had told me I'm a fugitive of the realm now and well...I was wondering how I was supposed to go with you all into town to find Diane's Gideon?" She asked pursing her lips.
"Hmm that's actually a good question. Do you change clothes like King does?" He asked rummaging through his drawers looking for something. She knitted her eyebrows in confusion and then facepalmed.
"You mean his human form? Well yes...but I don't have any clothes fit for my human form, I can't manifest them as easily as some fairies, I suppose I could make some. Thanks for the idea Sir Meliodas! I'll meet you all outside!" He ignored her and cheered silently to himself as he found a pair of Elizabeth's panties. She groaned and walked out.
Adelina sat inside her's, King's and Ban's room humming to herself as she stitched together a baby pink dress with a bow around the waist. Meanwhile, outside the others discussed how they knew Diane's sacred treasure was there.
About twenty minutes later, the group was just about to leave for Vaizel.
"It's not fair! Why do I have to stay here?!" Diane cried throwing a fit.
"Look Diane, ever since a giant ran wild at one of their festivals a few years back they've been banned from town. But we'll come right back as we see what's up." Meliodas said trying to calm the giant down.
"But it's gonna be borrrriiiinnnnggg!" She whined shaking her head. Elizabeth then offered to stay saying that it would be nice to have girl time.
"Then shouldn't Lina stay? She's a fugitive too..." Diane pouted and King smiled at the chance to cheer her up. "I'm sure she would love to stay Dian-"
"Now what kind of advisor would I be if I let you run amok while you're not only a fugitive for ten years ago but abandoning the realm now Lord Fairy King." A very high pitched innocent voice called. The sins and Elizabeth looked to the side and then tilted their heads in confusion.
"Who are you?" King asked peering at the little girl who was easily half a foot shorter than himself, long straight black hair cascading down to her waist with her bangs trimmed straight across her forehead framing her pale face, which brought out her bright brown eyes. She glared at the point of the spirit spear as King pointed it at her.
"King I swear to god I will beat the shit out of you if you point that thing in my face ever again." The little girl snapped ducking underneath it and walking towards him. The cuss word coming from such a little girl caused Ban to go into a fit of giggles as he tied an apron around his waist. King glared looking down at her as he lowered to his feet. Everyone watched with bated breath as brown eyes bore into amber.
You have your human form. I have mine. I can't be getting caught now can I?
King's eyes widened as Adelina's original voice filled his head. He pursed his lips.
"You're like seven. Why choose that?" He asked curiously. Adelina gave a shuddering gasped and looked down. "It's a long story for another time. Let's go!" She chirped. After a while of walking Adelina started whining about it being hard to keep up. Suddenly she was swooped up and placed on Ban's shoulders.
"Wooooaaahhh. I fly alot but Ban has a nice view all the time." She said giggling. She played with Ban's hair absentmindedly as they strolled through town.
"Ade-"
"Gotta call me something else Sire. Don't wanna get caught now do we?" Adelina said cutting off King as he floated up to speak to her."Well what do I call you?" He asked and she gave a sad smile.
"Call me Lily.""Okay? Lily. I'm sure Ban is getting tired how about you come sit on Chastifole next to me." King said patting the pillow. Ban patted Adelina's shins. "She's fine." King frowned, huffed, looked down as his cheeks burned red and floated forward to follow his captain as he followed an old drunken man's tip that Diane's hammer was behind the giant rock.
As they strolled through the area where a fighting festival was being held Adelina noticed how everyone commented on how there shouldn't be a little girl in the violence.
"Alright Lily down you go~" Ban sang and he let the small girl down. King immediately came up and grabbed her hand tugging her closer to him, glaring at Ban.
"Harlequin?" She asked innocently looking up at him. He ignored her.
She stared up at him intensely.Harlequin..?
He froze and his face grew completely red. Why is her voice affecting him so much lately? It runs through his head constantly, much more than Diane ever has.
Why am I feeling this way?
What do you mean Harlequin? Is everything okay...?
All he did was shake his head, and hold the small human version of his purpose's hand tighter.
