Adelina rose her eyebrow at Meliodas. "You can't possibly expect me to wear that." She spoke eyeing the maid's dress in confusion. "I am a server of food. Not one who cleans a house." The fairy added on turning her nose up in disgust.
"Advisor if you wish to work here..." Meliodas started with a smirk and she turned to glare at him. "Sir Meliodas I am a fairy of high standings. The only reason I am here as a server of your establishment is because I needed a roof over my head. I'm a fugitive after all." He inched closer smirking even wider.
Adelina leaned back slightly as he leaned over to her pointed ear.
"But wouldn't King love to see you in such a pretty dress."
Her eyes widened and she backed away blushing.
"I-I won't be convinced with s-such lies." The blushing fairy muttered as she swiped the outfit from his hands.
"I'm simply wearing this to-to shut you up Sir Meliodas."
Adelina came back downstair, her blush simmering down but still slightly noticeable. She stopped dead in her tracks at the bottom of the stairs, her ears twitching slightly in anger.
"Princess, how are you?" Adelina asked in a clipped tone. Noticing the fact that Elizabeth was in her normal Boar Hat waitress attire.
"I'm well, thank you Advisor Adelina." She spoke brightly bowing softly. Adelina bowed back and excused herself, stomping over towards Meliodas.
"C'mon cap'n. Why do ya have to keep putting her in such revealing clothing." Ban asked wrinkling his nose slightly. The fairy in front of him huffed and nodded, wrinkling her nose as a glare settled in.
"You had me under the impression that the princess would be wearing this as well." The small blonde looked over at the fairy with his wide green eyes.
"I never said anything like that Adelina. I said I needed a worker in that cosplay." Adelina scoffed and sat on a stool.
"Why am I wearing this garish dress anyway Meliodas?" She muttered, dropping all honorifics and placed her chin on her hand.
He smiled brightly and heaved a crate of small boxes of chocolates in front of her.
"You'll be our candy girl~ It's Valentine's Day after all~" He sung and she sighed resting her head on the bar. "Meliodas, honestly this is a waste of my time. My people don't enter court ships. Our lives are much longer than humans." She explained in a bored tone. "You should have Elizabeth do this. Surely she understands love better than I."
Ban and Meliodas smirked at each other and then looked at the ginger, leaning on the bar in front of her.
"Haven't you ever been in love Adeli~"
"Surely you have Adelina~"She knit her eyebrows together, messing with the mug in her hands as she thought.
"My whole life the only people in my life have been Mother, Lady Elaine, and Lord Fairy King." She grit her teeth and gulped. "And Lily."
Adelina ignored the almost pitiful glances sent her way and she cleared her throat.
"So no, I've never been in love in the way you humans describe it."
The two men in front of her looked at each other and then back at her.
"You love King."
The fairy choked on her ale and began violently coughing as her cheeks went bright red again.
"W-what are you two talking about? He's my king. N-not some love interest!"
