She was insentient, fully absorbed in the vivid dream and feeling content as anything, stroking her partners face, taking notice of the twinkle in his eyes.

Before she could acknowledge her sheer love for him, she heard the soft patter of rain.

She sluggishly opened her eyes, feeling a sting due to bright filters of light through the curtains. Quickly but gently, she rolled over, immediately seeing the face she longed to touch. She felt she was the luckiest person on Earth, imbibing in the boy's features.

The features that made her heart tumble. Her eyes roamed down the wide expanse of his chest, carefully perceiving the way it rose and fell with his every breath. Describing him as the epitome of exquisiteness and beauty didn't truly seem satisfactory. He was a kind and good-natured person too.

His hugs and cuddles were the panacea for all her troubles. He would rub her back and whisper sweet nothings into her ear, instilling satisfaction and utter bliss into her weary being, resulting in shivers vibrating down her spine. He wasn't kind and helpful to her alone.

There were certain people that knew of his incredible abilities to comply to a person's requests. Always was he inclined to help anyone that needed it and for that alone, his good deeds never went unsung. In an instant, several memories of their existence as a couple flooded her mind. Their first dance together, their first date, their first time babysitting together....

As if caught in a trance, she caressed his cheek tenderly, aiming to be as delicate as possible.

"Finally done staring?"

She had never felt her hand flick back so fast in her life.

Peeking at her, with one eye open, as though it was too bothersome to open the other, was the boy she reminisced about just a few seconds ago.

Sensing her cheeks flush with embarrassment at being caught, she ducked under the thick, golden duvet, feeling the sensation of warmth hitting her face.

"Oh, come on!. I was just kidding. C'mere"

He reached down and searched, placing his hands under her armpits and pulling her upright and into his chest. As demure as she felt, she still allowed herself to be embraced by her loved one.

Stroking her head, he softly said "I love you, my fragile blossom." She knew she didn't have to reply. The glint of adoration in her eyes was enough.
