"I'm here!... Okay, what's wrong with you?"
My energy dissipated, as I stared at my best friend.
He looked awful, with a red nose, and dark circles under his eyes.
He looked sad.
I "sat" beside him, and held his hand.
"C'mon, tell me," I urged.
Finally, Luke looked up at me. His eyes were bloodshot and teary, something I hardly ever wanted to see.
"Chelsea?", he slowly said.
And I started to panic. He never calls me by my name.
I tried to laugh, but all that came out was a shaky pant.
"Hey, what happened to calling me Chels?"
lucas shook his head and glared at the floor. "Chelsea, you have to disappear."
I froze.
Icy water flooded through my veins, and my "flesh" turned to stone.
My mouth opened, but no words came out.
"Chelsea? Look I-,"
"You what?"
He may have looked a bit tearful, but trust me, there's no way his feelings were hurt more than mine. Lucas started to stutter out a few apologies, but I was having none of it.
"I can't believe you! After all my help, after all my comforting, you want me to l-leave?!"
"Chels-"
Whatever self-control I had left vanished, and I snapped.
"Now you call me Chels, huh?" "I'm s-sorry, it's just that I don't really... need you anymore. You're just an imaginary friend, and I can't keep having you in my life!"
Slowly and unexpectedly, I started to smile, and it just grew and grew, until disgusted chuckles forced out of my throat.
"I may be imaginary, but I used all my time, to help you! Who comforted you when your mother died? I did. Who loved you when no one did? I did. Heck, I even became your temporary girlfriend, just to teach you how love is like."
My angered shouts lowered to painful whispers.
"But I guess you never learnt, huh?"
Lucas started to cry.
"Oh please! Why the hell are you crying?"
"I don't want to lose you. I'm being forced to. I'm a teenager now, and I need to let you go."
Lucas doesn't need me anymore.
I'm just an imaginary friend.
He needs to let me go.
"Okay. I'll go."
"Chels, I-"
I started to flicker, and my body slowly started to disappear. "Chelsea, I-" As I disappeared, I exclaimed, "Shut up, Lucas."
My knees buckled and I fell to the floor. "I love you, Chelsea."

Cringy, but I don't even care anymore.
