Chiara's POV
I woke up at Annabeth's room. She had a spare bed. Apparently she used to share it and after the girl went away she kept the bed there anyways.I was still a bit overwhelmed over my dream. I had dreamt of Percy which was bad enough, but to have this dream when his girlfriend is asleep on the bed next to mine... Also considering I never seem to dream, the fact itself was already bizarre. To be honest I haven't really dreamt of anything too bad. We were having a picnic. Just that. Nothing happened. Still, I felt guilt in every inch of my body.
"Good morning!" She said. I smiled.
"Good morning, Annnabeth. Who was your night sleep?" I asked.
"It was fine I guess..." she said a little bit groggy. I noticed how she was definitely not a morning person and decided to remain silent after that.
I got up, went to the ensuite as Annabeth still struggled with getting up. I did all my washing up used the only power I use, changing my clothes as if by magic. The idea of having whichever outfit I could ever want any time and it didn't affect anyone else... I love it.
I wore an A-line short white dress made out of floral lace and nude lining, paired up with a short blush cardigan, my hair in a loose high ponytail and blush ballerina flats.
Is I got out of the loo I notice Annabeth had gotten up and got dressed. She wore shorts and a T-shirt and a pair of sneakers. She also had her hair in a ponytail. I smiled at her. She smiled back. That was when I realised she was fully awake and we could interact.
"I like your Tee" I said. It was true. Perhaps it was too Diesel for me but it looked nice on her and pretty badass.
"Thanks! You looks nice... do you all dress like that on your camp?" She asked. I noticed she wasn't being judgemental, she was genuinely curious.
"Me and my siblings, cabin mates, whatever, do so. Some of the kids of Apollo and Hermes as well... Percy's sister too. But other than that no. I guess we dress in a more fashionable manner than here in general anyways, but the huntresses don't go around sporting dresses, cardigans and flats, neither do the daughters of Ares, as you can imagine!" I said and she chuckled. "Your half siblings do sometimes. The ones that despite being great war strategists prefer to only strategise rather than actually fight do sometimes. But to be fair, were European, dressing dressy is in our blood..." I said and we laughed again.
As we were approaching the breakfast banquet I stopped. I could feel so much attraction towards me.
"Annie" I said "I mean, can I call you that?" I asked and she nodded. "I don't think I'm hungry..."
"What? You just said you were..."
"I don't want to go there right now..." I said
"Why not?" She asked confused and worried.
"Everyone is talking about me... I can, sense it." I said and she intertwined arms with mine.
"Who cares? Come on!" She said. We went in discreetly.
Mostly boys were there.
"But she's way prettier..." one said
"I know. And that accent of hers..."
