Chapter 3
It was exactly midnight. I was in the park, with my sister next to me. Then I shifted, letting my wolf take control. She howled, signaling all the wolves to come together. The members of my pack gathered, and then they're eyes grew wide when they saw me.
I shook my furry black head and I turned back into my human form, and put on the large shirt I had brought with me, and stood next to my little sister protectively.
"As you all know, my parents have died- or disappeared. In their will, it says I will be the new Alpha. Does anyone disagree?" I asked.
"I do. I deserve to be alpha more than you," a guy named Nick with red hair snarled.
"It's not in your blood," I retorted.
"I challenge you. If I kill you, then I become the alpha. If you win, you keep your position," Nick growled.
"Very well," I said. I took off my shirt that I had just put on a few minutes ago and stepped to the middle of the clearing.
"Are you ready for this?" I asked, inside my head to my wolf.
-I'm ready as I'll ever be. Just give full control to me.-
"Okay, but don't kill him," I said.
-Fine. I'll just leave him damaged.-
I raced towards him at full speed, and then jumped. While in the air, I changed into my wolf. I snarled as Nick changed into his big, long-haired, red wolf.
He jumped on top me, and my wolf let him, as she feigned falling to her side. Then Nick's wolf got on top of my wolf and was about to rip my throat out when my wolf suddenly pushed upwards and sent Nick flying over the clearing, to hit a tree. Nick was dazed, and he couldn't get up.
I walked over to him, slowly, and got on top of him, pushing him on the ground with my paws. "
"What do you say about me being Alpha now?"
"You're worthy," he rasped.
I let him go, and said to the rest of the pack, "Let this be a warning to all of you."
"The only way you can fully be an Alpha is to find a mate. If you do not find in mate in two months, someone else will take over," the eldest wolf called James said.
I bowed my head to James. I will find a mate in two months.
The thing about mates is, you can find a mate only two times in your whole life. And it has to be while you are in a wolf form.
One of the times you find your mate, he/she will imprint on you also. The one that does not imprint back is a back up. You do not need to make it official, because you will know who your mate is. If your mate is a human, you can simply change them into a werewolf by biting them, and then giving that human some of your blood.
I haven't had a chance to find my mate because I haven't been in my wolf form lately.
-Then let me take control, stupid!-
"Shut up," I said in my mind.
-No.-
I ignored her after that, even when she kept rambling on about unimportant stuff.
I said out loud to everyone in the pack, "Has anyone mated with me?"
Someone stepped out from the shadows and said, "I did."
I trotted over to where he was and gasped.
It was my ex boyfriend.
How the hell did he become a werewolf?!
