Author's Note: This was written about 5 1/2 years ago and was intended to be a multi chapter so please don't judge it too harshly. I was trying to update according to reads/reviews and this has been doing much better than intended. There is a part 2 already written but I want to add a bit more before I post.

Joey was and usually is a very happy guy. Lately though he hasn't had much of that Joey flair. During Apocalyptour he and Lauren were inseparable. If you asked anyone around them, they'd say the two were practically a couple. The pair have always had a flirty relationship ever since they started Granger Danger together. However, they always found it hard to have a relationship while Joey was in LA and Lauren in Chicago. As soon as they found out they would be together for a week, they couldn't be happier. At least that's how it appeared at the time.

When Joey arrived at the hotel, he couldn't wait to see all of his best friends together again. As the week continued and  rehearsal sucked up their lives, many memories were created. The day of A Very Potter Senior Year, hours later at the ball Joey knew it was now or never. When he arrived, he quickly found the only girl he was looking for.

"Hey Lo," he whispered in her ear and wrapped his long arms around her petite waist from behind.

"Joey!" she exclaimed and turned around to hug him. "You did great today!"

"You didn't do too bad yourself." He said before lightly kissing her cheek.

"Lo," he said softly, almost inaudible from the music playing. "I've loved you from the moment we got paired in Granger Danger. I know we've decided to keep our relationship where it is, but I'd like to take the next step. Lauren, will you -"

"Joey." Lauren interrupted. "Joey, stop. I love you too. You know I always will, but you being half way across the country isn't fair for either of us."

"Lauren, I love you, and if that means I only have these next few days with you then I'll take every second."

As Joey boarded the plane to head home, he checked his twitter where all of the starkids were expressing many different emotions. The flight attendant told passengers to turn off all electronics. Once the 'okay' to turn them back on, Joey quickly turned on his phone on to see if he had any texts. He found he had none. So, he posted a quick tweet and headed home. Suddenly, his phone buzzed, he picked it up and saw it was a text from Darren.

Hey Joey! Just wanted to remind you I'm in New York for a couple of days, so I won't be around. Call if you need anything.

Joey took a deep breath and replied : yeah, okay.

Within seconds he received another text from Darren, it read: I know something's wrong, we're just about to wrap. Give me 20 minutes and I'll call you.

When Darren got done filming he went back to his trailer and called Joey. "Joey! What's wrong?"

"I love her."

"Wait" he paused to think"... Who?" There was a long silence."Lauren." Darren immediately knew what joey was talking about. " I know it's hard. Mia lives in New York and we live in LA. I don't get to see her often, but somehow we work out."

"I wish I didn't have to keep leaving her."

"Dude, I know. Maybe she can come out there soon. She can stay with us if you want."
