A/N: hello readers, I am fully aware I'm a trash person for taking so long to get this up, but I don't promise things for a reason. I've had half of this written for about a month and only finished it today. It's not great but it's something.
"Do you remember when our fans would constantly ask when we were getting married?" Joey asked Lauren as he held her left hand while scrolling through Twitter.
She looked up from her phone to their intertwined hands. They hadn't even been together that long when fans were talking about it.
"You mean when they knew this was going to happen before even we did?" She questioned lifting up her hand that Joey was holding, playing with the ring on it.
"Huh," he paused, "we should mess with them."
"We're not even publicly dating, you want to announce our engagement by messing with fans on Twitter?" She asked not fully understanding where he was going with this idea.
"Why not? They all already know we're together, we're not very good at hiding it you know. I have a plan, you just have to agree to go with it."
Lauren was hesitant at first but decided that there wasn't actually any harm in doing so, agreeing to go with whatever her partner had planned.
About 20 minutes later Lauren's phone started buzzing with twitter notifications. She looked over at Joey, giving him a puzzled look figuring he had something to do with it. He just winked back and told her to check his tweets.
She opened the app, ignoring the notifications, and went straight to his most recent retweet.
"You didn't. Jojo, my phone is going to blow up because of this." She looked back down at her phone and read the tweet again: Hey @laurenlopez1 do you think we'll ever get around to that marriage thing? 😉 He had retweeted something from a fan from years ago. "What are you trying to get out of this exactly?"
Even though she came off a little angry, she had already sent her response. His phone buzzed with the notification.
He looked down at his phone seeing the tagged tweet. It read: @JoeyRichter Sure. May 18th looks pretty good to me. That work for you?' He looked up at her in shock.
"Did you really just tell everyone our date on Twitter?" He asked seriously before typing out his response: Yeah, that should work. See you then 😉. Joey looked back, waiting to see her reaction.
"Well, I guess the fans know now" she said with a hidden smile, "But I think we should confirm any suspicions they may have left." now smirking.
Joey was curious as to what this plan could be until she told him to hold Diane closer to his face and pointed the camera at them. She reached her left hand out, petting Diane with it.
"Lo?"
"Hang on, this is sickeningly cute. They'll love it." She said, turning her phone around to show him the picture with her ring glistening with Joey smiling behind it next to Diane's face. She quickly sent it to her story and put her phone down.
"Now that they know, I guess you can wear this a lot more" he said reaching for her hand again.
"And we don't have to hide this anymore." She pushed his hand away shifting closer into him, kissing him briefly.
He scrunched his nose smiling, "No we do not." With that, he pulled her into his lap without any regard to the chaos that was happening on their social media.
A/N: props to Sophie and Kristen for reading the first part of this and not killing me for not finishing until now.

FanfictionI've been writing bad fanfic for years. Figured I'd finally get around to posting some of it. Mostly Richpez, potentially (old/bad) multi-chapters, and the occasional breredith for fun!
