Dear Diary,

I'm back. I guess I didn't die at Children's Church. Haha. I'm ten years old now. My mom finally said I was old enough, and got me an easy bake oven for my birthday! I loved it so much, but it didn't last long. Apparently, you can't go outside and play while your cookies bake. News to me! My mom does it all the time! I was just outside riding my bike when I heard my mom yelling for me. "ANNA NICHOLE!" I knew I was dead. I rode back as slowly as possible, but I still got there before she calmed down all the way. I could smell the smoke when I walked through the door and I knew something went terribly wrong. My pan was melted to the inside of my oven. My mom was so mad! I don't know why she was so mad at me? She was the one who smelled it burning and didn't take it out until it was too late. I wasn't even inside! How could I have known? She was NOT happy when I brought that up so I didn't push it. When my dad got home we had to sit down and have a talk about "responsibility" and "how dangerous it could have been". Which I thought was dumb because, once again, my mom should have just taken it out. Parents. They just don't understand. Landon and Carter thought it was soooooo funny. They didn't even care that my easy bake is broken forever! Carter is new to the neighborhood. He just moved in a few months ago. Him and Landon are the same age, so they're best friends. They won't let me play with them most of the time because I'm "too little". They're only two years older than me! They make me so mad! Mom lets them ride all the way around the neighborhood, but I have to stay on our road. Doesn't she know she's just making it easier for them to leave me? This is probably the worst age I've ever been. Most of the time I don't even want to play with Carter though. I don't know why Landon likes him so much. He's so annoying! He's always telling me that my freckles make my face look dirty. And one time, he tricked me into going in the closet and shut me in there! And Landon laughed! He did let me out when I started crying, but it was too late! I put mud in his shoe before he went home. Not only is he a jerk, but he smells bad too! It's gross. I really hate him sometimes. The only break I've caught this year, is meeting Kelsie at school. She thought it was terrible when my easy bake got ruined! She's a true friend. When she comes over, we go in my room where it's no boys allowed. That way we can leave the boys, too! They don't ever care, though. Kelsie goes to my church, so I get to see her almost every day of the week. We always dance during the song part and it's so much fun! Last week we talked about my favorite Bible story, Jonah and the whale! It's so cool! He got eaten BY A WHALE! I have so many questions though. Did it stink in there? How did he breathe? Was he hungry? Sometimes there's just not enough information. Well, I'm writing this by flashlight because it's past my bed time. I couldn't sleep and then I remembered this, so then I really couldn't go to sleep! But my mom just walked by my door, so I have to go to bed before she finds me!

Bye,

Anna
