WRITING TIPS!

I know so many people who want to write stories here on Wattpad. They want to see their stories thrive and hit top charts. It's fine if you want that, but if you don't know basic english, good story components, how to proof read and how to make good covers, you're in for a little surprise. These things don't come naturally to everyone, but you can always learn! That's what I'm here for.

When writing a story, you MUST know basic spelling, grammar, cohesion and structure. If you don't have these things set, you're going to run into trouble. People can be deterred from your story if it's hard or uncomfortable to read. Maybe Co-Write a story with someone so you can learn from them ((Or you could listen in English classes lol.))

Another thing that KILLS me is bad characters, plots and events. You may amazing at writing, but if I'm yawning every time your characters are talking ,or I feel like I've heard the main plot idea about 10 times before, I'm most likely to click off and choose another story to read. Amaze your readers and keep them on the edge of their seats. Be unpredictable. I can't tell you how many times I've seen new stories appear and see that they are very similar to mine or someone else's I've read. Carbon copies are not good.

Also, please proof read your work directly after you've wrote the chapter. I didn't do this and I reeeeeally regret it. Don't leave it till later and don't plan to not proof your story at all. It can link back to my first point. Keep things right for the first time it goes up, not for the second time it's updated in a month or so time.

Finally, covers and descriptions are what will draw people in. You may have an amazing story and crazy good writing skills, but no one will click your story if it's not attractive to the eye. What makes a 'Good Cover' is really hard to explain. Your cover needs to be creative ((not just text over an image)), related to the story, and most importantly, eye catching and high quality.
The first line of your description is going to be what decides if a person will keep reading. If it's boring and gives little to no detail about what happens in the story, you've already failed in gaining another reader. Draw me in and keep telling me about what happens. Tell more than a bit, but not so much that I will know how it ends before I start.
