Do I?

•Day 4•

"Wait!" I heard before the door shut behind me. I continued walking into the room assuming someone else was being called for. I believed it was a random person till I heard a voice outside the door.

"Please let me in just for one second." The voice mumbled through the door.

"D-Daniel?" I said.

"Jackie! Yeah no it's me Daniel can you like come here for a second or something?" Daniel said through the door. I giggled and walked out of the door. "Hey." He said as a smile appeared on his face.

"Hey." I said smiling like a crazy person.

"Uh these are for you." He said as he held out some roses for me. "I didn't know what flowers you liked that's what took me so long and I didn't wanna be a bother since I knew Jack was with you and I just-" He spoke.

"They're perfect." I interrupted hugging him.

"Just like you." He said before the doctor came out telling me I had to go in. I quickly mouthed "thank you" before I left. He mouthed a "anytime" and waved a goodbye.

I am so happy to have amazing people in my life.

-Daniel's POV-

"Daniel?" Jack yelled from down the hall. "What are you doing here?" He asked. I looked at Jack and he looked exhausted.

"I just came to give Jackie some flowers." I said scratching my neck.

"Do you like her dude?" Jack asked earning an open eyed look from me. Do I?

"Uh I don't know. I mean I just wanted to say hi to her real quick." I said nervously.

"Dude you like her." Jack said.

"What I don't know-"

"You so do. You better treat her like a fucking queen and if you hurt her-"

"Woah dude I don't even know my feelings." I said stopping him.

"But you could still hurt her feelings. I mean she obviously likes you so don't screw this up alright." Jack said patting my shoulder before leaving the hospital. Before he left I told him to wait and hopped in the Uber with him. I sat there lost in my thoughts.

Does Jackie like me? I mean no. No way I mean I don't even know if I like her. I mean I know if she were to say she liked me I would obviously say I liked her but I don't know what that means. It wouldn't hurt to date her though. She's literally perfect. Her smile, personality, her whole persona is just amazing.

"Oh my god dude just admit you like her. Stop being such a girl." Jack shrugged me. Damn was I speaking out loud?

"You're right." I said and went into my phone. I quickly texted Jackie.

(Texts between Daniel and Jackie)

               Daniel: Hey do you wanna hang out later? Text me when you can.

Jackie: Uh yeah sure

                Daniel: Oh okay um I'll be there at 7:30.

Jackie: Can't wait

-Jackie's POV-

"Oh. My. God." I scream whispered.

"What?" My Mom whispered back.

"Daniel just asked to hang out." I said not believing the words leaving my mouth.

"Ooooooo he seems sweet. We'll have to get a cute outfit for you." My Mom said

"Mom I can't even leave the hospital." I said saddened.

"Hey! That doesn't mean you can't look cute. You're beautiful even under these awful fluorescent lights." She said causing me to laugh.

"Thanks Mom." I smiled at her sitting in excitement then looking over at the flowers Daniel got me.
