Nowhere to go

Spottedkit raced as fast as she go. A millon thoughts flooded her mind this can't be happening, if I'm not Riverclan I have to go Windclan where I belong. She darted this way and that, dodging trees, ditches, and jumping logs. She winced as a bramble pierced her side but she pushed ahead. She finally slid to a stop at the Windclan border. She jumped into the bushes when she heard a branch crack, breathing hard she started making out whispers "Did you hear something?" She heard in one direction "Yeah, it came from over here." She heard in another but closer to her this time. Spottedkit then realized Windclan! She dove out of the bushes and met a Windclan patrol eye to eye. "What are you doing out here kit?" Tornear snarled Spottedkit didn't mind his tone "I'm one of you! My mom is Mintfur and I've come to join you." She squeaked enthusiastically Tornear turned his head to the cat behind him "Mintfur is this true?" He asked sternly. It took a moment for the other cat to answer "Yes, I had a kit with Tigerflame but I gave it to Riverclan because I could not take care of it." Tornear frowned "Listen kit we cannot take care of you so just go on home, Mintfur I will have to report this to Tallstar, let's go!" Spottedkit stood with her head down as the Windclan cats raced away, she turned around and squeaked in fear as she was faced with large Amber eyes " You're not a Riverclan cat?!" Owlkit mewed in a concerned voice "Why didn't you tell me?" Owlkit looked at her closer " I don't want to talk about it!" Spottedkit lashed out. Owlkit had a hurt expression on her face, then stood up taller "Fine." She said snarkely before darting into the bushes oh no! What have I done! Spottedkit stood for a few long moments before finally deciding I will go back to Riverclan and be the best warrior I can be, if they'll let me that is. Spottedkit darted back to camp as fast as she could fly jumping the bramble bush that had cut her before, she slid under a log before finally sliding into camp. She saw Oceanstar sitting on the highledge as if she was waiting for her but Spottedkit was only focused on one thing Owlkit. She finally found her in the nursery crying "Owlkit?" Owlkit lifted her head "I'm sorry I snapped at you and I hope you can forgive me." Spottedkit looked down, Owlkit looked up at her "Of course I can forgive you!" Owlkit squeaked in her usual enthusiastic voice. Spottedkit opened her mouth to speak but was interrupted "All cats old enough to swim gather here beneath the highledge for a clan meeting!" It was Oceanstar. Owlkit stuck her tail straight up with excitement "This is it! This is my apprentice ceremony!" The two friends padded out to watch the meeting "I know the battle with Bloodclan hurt us all but thankfully we have many kits ready to become apprentices." Oceanstar spoke loudly so the whole clan could hear "Moonkit, Pebblekit, Strikekit, Skykit and Owlkit please step forward." They did exactly as she asked Owlkit wiggled a bit until she was swatted by Pebblekit. "All of you are very curious and have great potential, so do you promise to try your best until you earn your warrior name?" Oceanstar spoke the words that had been passed down for generations and generations. "I do!" They all said in unison enthusiastically " Then from this day forward until you earn your warrior name you will now be known as Moonpaw, Pebblepaw, Strikepaw, Skypaw and Owlpaw." The whole clan cheered their names before Oceanstar began to announce their mentors "Owlpaw your mentor will be Brackenfur, Strikepaw your mentor will be Oakstorm, Pebblepaw your mentor will be Stonepeak, Skypaw your mentor will be Whitefang, Moonpaw your mentor will be the very young warrior Breezefoot." As the new apprentices ran to meet their mentors Spottedkit hung her head down and began to walk away I should have known I wouldn't become an appren- Spottedkit was interrupted "Spottedkit please step forward." It was Oceanstar! She darted forward and sat down, the grass was still warm from the other apprentices hindends. Voices of protest roared up from the clan "SILENCE!!" Oceanstar Yowled with fury before turning her attention back to Spottedkit "Spottedkit, do you promise to learn the warrior code, and do your best until you earn your warrior name?" The words seemed even more incredible when they we're being said to her "I do." She mewed respectfully "then from this day forward until you earn your Warrior name you will be known as Spottedpaw and your mentor will be Me. The meeting has ended." The whole clan was muttering under their breath. I will show them Spottedpaw thought I will be the best warrior Riverclan has ever seen!
