Chapter 19

Levi and I sat in the Alice's room, holding each others hands and looking at her peaceful sleeping face. "Do you realize how much you have given to me?" Levi asks as he twirls my engagement ring around on my hand. I look down at the simple diamond ring and smile sweetly.
"I have an idea" I reply and we laugh quietly as to not wake Alice up. We hear a nick at the door and Levi says he will take care of Alice so I get up and get the door. I open the door and gasp when I see Mikasa standing at the door looking pissed. Her expression changes to one of relief when she sees me.
"Eren!!" She cries and pulls me into a hug. I laugh and hug her back when she starts ranting about how she could never seem to come at a good time, and how I was always doing something whenever she came over. I nodded and consoled her telling her that I'm here now and invited her in for a drink. She sat down on the couch and I swear I saw the color leave her face when Levi walked downstairs with Alice.
"Eren! Alice is hun- oh... Hi Mikasa..." Levi said shifting awkwardly from foot to foot. I froze up for a second before going to take her from Levi. I heated up her bottle in the microwave and put on a kettle for tea. I sat down in between Levi and Mikasa and shifted so that Alice was comfy in my lap. Mikasa looked over and zeroed her vision in on Levis hand when he helps me fix Alice's blanket.
"Oh Levi, I didn't know you were engaged, much less had a child... Who is the lucky lady?" Mikasa asks and I have to bury my face in Alice's blanket to keep from laughing at Levi's flustered face. He looks at me helplessly and I looked Mikasa straight in the eyes and tried to keep my voice even.
"Mikasa, I'm engaged to Levi, and this is out child" I said to her with a straight face and I lift up my hand to show her my ring. She goes pale again and then looks confused.
"You adopted her before you got married? Shouldn't you have waited?" Mikasa asks and I feel the cogs turning in Levis head next to me. I smack his arm to get his attention and give him a look that says not to over think it.
"Mikasa look at her features, does she look adopted to you?" I ask her and when she looks at Alice more closely her eyes widen and she looks up at us and down at her a couple times as if checking her looks. I explain everything that had happened and Levi gets up and gets us tea when the kettle goes off. She takes a sip of her earl gray and when she sets it down she remains silent for a few minutes. Alice senses my distress and starts to get squirmy and Levi wraps an arms around my back and pulls me closer to him so I would calm down. Mikasa finally looks up at us and has to open and close her mouth a few times before she can finally respond.
"I'm- I'm an aunt?" She asks and when I nod she gives me a genuine smile and we all laugh together. We talk for hours and we come to the resolution that when the wedding and honeymoon are going on she will take care if Alice. Mikasa gets her stuff from the hotel she way staying at and brings it all over to Irvin's. Levi and I feed Alice and set her down for a nap before letting ourselves take a nap.
***************
Levi and I sit on the couch with a wedding planner in front of us. Irvin's parents claimed that they are my parents also now so they are helping Mrs.A with the expenses, with the condition that they can be in the wedding. We planned of all out and within two months it was all set up and time. I was in a room with peach walls and a large mirror. There are decorative chairs and one small sofa in the room. I pulled on my white jacket and carefully tied my white tie. We had decided that instead of me wearing a dress (which Levi was all for) I would wear all white and he would wear all black. I took a deep breath and picked up my bouquet. My heart is beating a mile a minute as I can feel my palms getting slick. Irvin's father walks in and holds out his arm to me. I loop my arm through his and when the music starts we start walking down the aisle. The church is str
