CHAPTER 4

VICTORIA

I remembered the night when we first kissed - as a couple. It was one of the sweetest things I have ever felt since he came to my life. I can still taste the sweetness of his lips on mine, the spark it brought to my veins and the sensation that made me feel like I'm the only woman in the world. This remarkable moment of us has stopped the fingers of the clock and everyone around us heard our fast heartbeats echoing with the loud sound of the waves silently witnessing the creation of the most precious painting - the canvass of two people sharing their first kiss happily and inloved.

Today is our first anniversary.

Tatlong araw na kaming hindi magkasama ni Gabo dahil busy siya sa taping at narito ako sa farm ko para mag-asikaso sa mga itatanim naming dragon fruits. It is the newest member of the family so I have to watch how it will be planted and how it grows.

I started this business to have another source of income. Na-inspire din ako sa isa kong kaibigan na may farm din sa Zambales kaya I bought a 4.6 hectare last year at na-imaterialized ang pangarap na ito. I invested too much money here, we even constructed a villa to have a place to stay when I'm here.

This is one way to getaway from showbiz. Kapag walang project, this is where I fallback.

Madalas, dito kami tumitira ni Gabby. Isang linggo, apat o tatlong araw. Depende sa schedule niya at kung maraming dapat gawin dito.

Minsan, nandito siya noong nagtanim kami ng bell pepper. He was very supportive that he even helped my men planting the bell peppers.

He was putting a long sleeve shirt and wear his sunglasses.

"Saan ka pupunta?" sabi ko habang tinutupi ang pinaghigaan namin.

"Magtatanim." maikli niyang sabi at lumapit sa akin.

Hindi pa ako naliligo kaya medyo naasiwa ako sa sobrang bango niya. Take note! Magbababad siya sa ilalim ng araw.

"Kaya na ng mga trabahador yun, Love." sabi ko habang pinapagpag ang mga unan.

"Mukhang marami yung itatanim, tsaka gusto ko ma-experience. Ayaw mo ba nun? Para farmboy na din ako." sagot niya at niyakap niya ako patalikod.

Tinanggal ko ang pagkakayakap niya sa akin at humarap ako sa kanya.

"Gaya-gaya ka talaga. Sige na nga! Pero sabay na tayong pumunta doon, maliligo lang ako." sabi ko at dali-daling pumasok sa banyo.

I pull off my clothes and opened the shower. Nagmamadali na din akong nagsabon at nag-shampoo.

"Love, ako na mamimili ng idadamit mo." sigaw niya sa labas.

Hindi ko narinig ng mabuti yung sinabi niya kaya pinatay ko yung shower kahit na sabon-sabon pa ang mukha ko.

"Ano yun, Love?" balik kong sigaw.

I heard him opened the door.

"Sabi ko, ako na mamimili ng isusuot mo." sabi niya

Hinawi ko ang shower curtain para tignan siya. Ulo ko lang naman ang nakalabas.

"Kailan ka pa naging fashion stylist?" tanong ko na nakangiti.

He shrugged.

"Ngayon lang. Na-realized ko, may future rin pala ako sa fashion industry." sabi niya sa baklang tono.
