Chapter 14

Alexia's POV

I felt terrible. This guy just said I sounded great and then I spill my drink on him. He was a bit creepy because he had his hood up. I was going to get paper towels when he said my name. His voice was surprisingly familiar.

"Alexia?" I wasn't looking at him then he pulled his hood down. I was in shock.

"Michael!?!" I ran over and hugged him. " I cannot believe you are here!!" I hugged him again. Then Leslie walked in.

"Oh sorry. I didn't mean to bother you and Ni- Oh that's not Nick?" She sounded confused. She had the magazine with 5sos. She looked at it and then at Michael. "You. Your in 5sos?" he nodded.

"Leslie this is Michael. Michael this is Leslie my boss" I said smiling.

"Can I hug you? Please? My daughter is a huge fan" he hugged her.

"Well if she is such a big fan how about I get her some tickets" he winked. Leslie went all wide eyes and hugged me and him. "I'll give them to Alexia and it will be cool"

"Thank you!! So much!!" She hugged him one last time before leaving.

"Do you want to go and catch up? You can come to my place" I said he nodded. We were walking back to my apartment.

"I can't believe I saw you. I knew you guys were coming here. But the fact that I ran into you blows my mind"

"I know. So tell me about what happened this past year?!?"

"Well..." I told him about how after my big fight with Luke I got a make over. New hair. New clothes. I needed to say something about my bullying. It's couldn't go unspoken. Once I started I couldn't stop.

"Well actually I was bullied a lot. I hated my life. There were times I considered taking my life. One day after my fight I saw a video of you guys and then girls at my school kept talking about you guys it just broke me. So I just sat in my room and cut. I have scars up my entire arm. I was hospitalized for a week. I was told I had to go to therapy. It didn't help. I began to write music. I filled notebook after notebook of songs and lyrics and doodle expressing my feelings." I put my head down. I was crying. He held me tight.

"I was friendless. I was so scared to walk into school. One day a girl stuck up for me. It took me so long to loosen my guard and let her in. Soon she became my best friend. Her name is Kim." I showed him a picture of her. "We became so close. We do everything together. She later introduced me to Nick. Nick was my lab partner. He was sweet and kind. I began to get feelings for him. It wasn't what I felt for Luke. But it helped get my mind away from him. We began dating and it was great. But after awhile the feeling was going away.I think he feels the same. He didn't have to say it but I knew. Tonight I saw him with another girl and I just ended things. I couldn't handle being hurt anymore"

"Wait so that song? With the break up wasn't about Luke?"

"It was Nick. The feeling was all Nick" I said.

"Well that sounds interesting." I laughed at his remark. He looked at the clock. It said 12:30. "Shit!! I have to get back"

"Ok I'll walk you out"

"You should over tomorrow. Bring you friend Kim" I thought about it.

"I don't know" he looked at me "Truth is as you guys got more famous and people asked if I knew you guys I always said no. I'm sorry. It's just I didn't want people to be 'friends' with me because of you guys"

"I understand. I know how much you hated it last year." I nodded and he hugged me. "Just tell me one thing. Do you still cut?"

"No! I've been really good. I haven't thought about it since the hospital"

"Good. Well I'm now going. Please consider coming and hanging out with us?" I nodded. He left my building.

I was thinking about going to hang out with them. I really wanted to. But one thing held me back. Luke. I knew I had to tell Kim. How would she react? I'm afraid that if I tell her she would want to date Luke. I don't know if I am comfortable with that. I decided that I should tell her. I need to stop being so afraid. I told myself if things went wrong I could fix them. I was lying in bed and told myself that I would tell her tomorrow but I couldn't wait.

It was 1:00 am. I texted her.

Alexia: Hey we need to talk. Please come over?

Kim: Be over in 5

I heard a light knock on my door. I opened it and Kim was standing there in sweatpants and a t-shirt. Her hair was in a messy bun and no make-up. She still managed to look pretty. This made me afraid to tell her. I know any guy would want to date her. If she met Luke I know they would date.

"What do you need to tell me?" she sounded scared.

"Ok well um..." she cut me off.

"Is this about Nick? Or that new song I saw on YouTube? Damn girl! You killed it" I laughed.

"Yes and no. Me and Nick did break up, but not really officialy. I never really said we're over. I had a bunch of anger and different emotions. I sang that sing just to get everything off my chest. I actually don't feel sad. I was earlier but I just never was IN love with him."

"I understand. Did you really call me hear at 1:00 in the morning to say that??"

"No I have other news. It's even more important." She nodded.

"Well when I was done with my set and stuff I ran into am old friend from Australia. And we were talking and he said we should hang out. I told him about you and bulling and singing. He said that we should all hang out."

"Seriously? You called me here just to say that?! You could've said it tomorrow!"

"No" I put my head down. I was nervous on to how she was going to react. Will she be mad? Or happy?

"What is it?" I could tell she was anxious.

"Please promise me you won't be angry" She looked at me wide eyed.

"I lied to you. You know how you asked if I knew 5sos?" she nodded "Well I do. We were very close. Practically brothers and sister. I would hang out with them. I was their first fan. I supported them through thick and thin. I even sang with them  few times. I saw Michael tonight. He wanted to know if we could hang out. But if we do you ca-"

"YES YES YES!!!!!" She was jumping up and down.

"Okay" I gulped. Nerves shot through my body. Luke. "You have to be totally calm tomorrow though. They are just normal guys" I told her to calm down. She was trying to figure out what to wear. I texted Michael.

Alexia: Hey bud! I told Kim about you guys and she said that we need to hang. I can't wait to see you guys and gals ;)

Michael: Great!! Tomorrow sound fine? We could just chill at our hotel and watch movies?

Alexia: Perfect. Just like old times. Goodnight mate :)

Michael: Great. Goodnight Love ;)

That last text confused me a bit. Love?

Kim and I just crashed in my room and I told her some funny old stories. I told her Calum and Ashton were off limits and that my two major best friends are cool and she will like them. She said she really wanted to meet Luke. It burned my heart a little. At the end of the night there was still one thing I never told her was I was in still love with her crush.
