And she lay alone in her room, crying, crying because she couldn't take it anymore. Everyone told her to get it out, or that she would crumble under pressure. She knew that they were all right, she knew one day it would happen, but she didn't expect it to be so soon. She's only sixteen. Her friends worried that day when she didn't come to school. They knew she was sensitive, easily hurt. One of her closest friends was her cousin. She didn't answer anyone's texts or calls and they got more worried. Her cousin had enough suspense and called her mom. The girl sat alone in her room, the razor fell out of hand a while ago. The blood dripped down her arms, her legs, and even her face. She wanted to end it all, she sliced anywhere she could. She heard the front door slam open. Someone told, that was her first thought. It was her cousin she knew it was, the only one of her friends who had any family numbers. She carefully got up and locked her door. She wasn't ready, it may have been her mom, no it couldn't be, she worked too far, it was her aunt she could tell from the sound of heals banging on the floor with each heavy step. But wait, she heard other shoes, they were flats or sneakers. Her friends had joined. But the girl felt numb. She felt nothing. All the pain of the cuts on her body were slowly fading away. She was loosing all feeling in her body. She smiled. She was happy, she was finally happy. She thought about nothing more than what lies ahead in the afterlife. She faintly heard the bangs on her door, the loud screams, the sirens wailing in the distance. She looked down at herself, blood was all around her body. She was finally happy. She slowly got up, and took the razor again. She wanted to do it once more before the end. She smiled a little more at the feeling of the razor sliding smoothly across her stomach. She hadn't cut there, so she decided to litter her
stomach with cuts and blood to match the rest of her body. The razor felt to heavy for her. It slipped out of her hand. Her eyes were shutting when the door burst open. Her friends were crying, they cried harder at the sight, her aunt was screaming, her parents and siblings out in the hall, all crying. She didn't realize that people would cry over her. But she was selfish, everyone always told her, and now she was happy. She was never happy, why didn't they want her happy? This was it. People picked up her limp body. More blood gushed out. She could hear her mothers sobs. She could hear her mother crying out for her to hold on. Her father crying and asking why? Why? She wanted happiness and she got it. Her head turned to the other side where her friends were. Amongst them, she saw the love of her life. And she whispered,"I love you . . . Mina."
