Simple Things

One of my favorite songs^^

I never asked for much so my birthday wasn't a huge deal to me. The boys went all out and I'll never thank them enough. But the best part was just the time I spent with them. The simple things made me happy. I smiled and touched the necklace that sat on my neck. It was a beautiful gold key and matching chain. The key had swirls and diamonds over it and J.A.E.Z was intricately engraved into the top.

The boys had the same thing just more masculine. There was no diamonds and swirls. Just a simple gold key on a chain with the engraving. We sat around a campfire and they gave it to me. Aiden tossing the box to me with a goofy half grin on his face.
"JAEZ?" I asked my eyes meeting each of theirs.
"Jasper Aiden Eliah Zuse makes JAEZ. You know how you get happy when ya song is on How you play it on repeat and it never gets old? Our moments together are unforgettable like your favorite Jam. They never get old or boring. Just better every time." I can't even lie about what happened next.
I cried
Like a big baby
Jasper put me in his lap and they all hugged me. It was just perfect. I knew that this is what I needed. People on my side to love and care for me the same way I do for them. I needed them. They probably didn't need me but I knew I needed them and without them things would never be the way I wanted them to be. It was lovely being alone but it's better having people on your side.
"Movie night anyone?" Aiden asked.
"Actually I have a better idea. A game of truths anyone?" Zuse said.

We all agreed and went down to the basement. We sat in a circle and Aiden decided to go first.

"Eliah why did you forgive Jasper?" I could see that his intentions were nothing but innocent with that question.
"Honestly I don't know. I kinda just went with my gut and that's what I was feeling"
Jaspers turn was up.

"Aiden. Did you actually kiss Kimora in the field?" jasper asked a smile crossing his face.
Aiden took a second to answer but a small 'yes' finally left his lips.

We all laughed for a second then my turn was up.
I looked around the group before my eyes settles on zuse.
"Zuse" I said smiling.
He looked nervous as a 'yeah' dragged from his lips.
"Who's your crush?" He immediately turned red.
"I think I like Leah" I nodded and smirked at him. Plans to get them together already swarming through my mind.

They nodded and zuse went next.
"Jasper can you admit your feelings for Eliah?" I saw jasper visibly tense at the question.

"You don't need to-" before I could finish jasper got up and walked out. He stomped up the stairs and let The door slam behind him. I could hear his faint footsteps go upstairs. Aiden began to get up to go check on Jasper but I stopped him.
"It's cool I'll go" I said. Zuse looked really guilty and I could hear Aiden slap him in his head as I was walking up the steps.

I kept my footsteps as light as possible so Jasper wouldn't hear me and want to leave or lock me out the room.
The light in my room was dim and I could feel the breeze come through the cracked door. I pushed the door open and saw his y'all figure out on the balcony. He was leaning against the railing.
"Hey. You okay?" He didn't speak at first.
"I hated you when I saw you because you were the most beautiful girl I had ever seen. It was like love at first sight."
"You don't need to tell me if-"
"Aiden saw you and thought you were hot. He was going to pursue you even though he found your eyes creepy. As I spent more time with you I realized that you are what I wanted. No other girl has what you have. Your beauty and style. Your personality. You're perfect. Before I knew it I fell for you and had no Choice but to love everything about you. So now you know I like you. The feelings are irreplaceable."
I was at a loss for words I had no ideas what to say. I backed off the railing and went behind him. He turned so he was facing me. He leaned his back on the rail and just looked at me.
"Why you looking at me like that?"
His eyes trailed down my form taking in my shorts and hoodie.
"I can't look at you? Your beautiful" he said licking his lips.
Thank you lord for giving me this beautiful piece of chocolate
I blushed and shook my head. The conversation was getting lighter and more comfy.
I stepped closer to him our eyes never leaving each other. He didn't move just watched me.
So I stepped even closer. We weren't chest to chest. He leaned down and his forehead touched mine his eyes still locked with mine. So I leaned up and pressed my lips to his. One of his hands went straight to my hair stopping me from moving. Our lips moved in sync. The kiss was slow and passionate. Our feelings being let out through our lips. He then pulled away. But only fair enough to breathe. He just let his forehead touch mine and we savored the moment.

After a while I suggested we go back downstairs. We sat back in the circle but Zuse never said anything to Jasper. He just started into his lap. Zuse looked like a sad puppy that got in trouble. I felt bad but then again I didn't because he didn't have to put his friend out under the bus like that. We ordered pizza and relaxed. I leaned on the bottom of the couch and Jasper was on the carpet next to me with his head in my lap. I let my fingers brush softly through his hair. We needed the relaxation and calm time. We ate in silence not wanting to break it. We needed the simple things.
