Pretty little bird

Its Monday... Damn
That was my first thought when I woke up Monday. I could just feel that the day wasn't going to go my way. But I still smiled and rolled over trying to leave the bed. Aiden and Zuse has slept downstairs in the basement for some odd reason and Jasper came and slept in my bed with me. Jasper was nowhere to be found as I got up to find clothes and shower. I quickly showered and washed my hair. I put on some matching PINK Boy-shorts and Bra. For a few minutes I stood in the full body mirror and just looked at myself. My boobs were small but not too small and my butt was pretty big. Not like ridiculous for my age but still big and plush. My little baby rolls on my stomach and the little stones that sat in my belly button. My long thick curly hair that reached a little past my butt. My odd colored eyes my plump lips and small nose. The dimples that say in my cheeks when I smiled. My cubby arms and thick thighs. I found myself to be quite pretty. I shook my head and grabbed some black leggings and a tie dye Gucci t shirt. I put on my white furry Fenty slides and touched up the polish on my toes making a reminder to hit up the nail salon soon. The house was unusually quiet making me curious to go downstairs faster. I put on my rings gold chain and dog tags before heading down to the kitchen. I found Jasper sitting there with his head in his hands. He seemed to be...Crying? Aiden came through the front door with a little girl about the age of 4 in his arms Zuse right behind him. They went into the living room but not before nodding in Jaspers direction. I walked to him slowly and placed my hand on his back rubbing in small circles. He lifted his head and sure enough his eyes were red and puffy. He was crying.
"What's wrong Boo-Boo?" I asked softly. I'd never seen this side of him. He looked so broken and lost. It took him a few minutes to calm down and talk to me.
"Eliah my sister died"
Immediately my heart broke for him.
"She died and now my niece has no mother and her father was never around. I'm taking her in and I have to leave school and -" I cut him off with a kiss.
"Shhhhh it's okay. We will figure this out together all of us. You have me Zuse Aiden and Leah who will do anything for you." He hugged me close and thanked me. I sent him up to my room so he could get come sleep and relax while I thought of a plan for him. He needed a break and I knew it. I had met his sister a few times having small conversations with her. She was 25 and absolutely gorgeous. Her name was Toriell. I had only seen her daughter once and now she was in my living room sleeping. I went in and took a look at the small child curled up on Aidens lap. They both were sleeping soundly. She was light skin with thick light colored curly hair and a pretty smile. Dressed in some leggings a sweatshirt and some Jordan's she was the most adorable little thing ever. I reached my hands out as the young child began to stir and wake up. Aiden handed her to me after kissing her head.
" Hey pretty girl what's your name?"  I asked when she finally looked at me fully awake.
"Saniah" she nibbles on her fingers.  Her eyes we're very light brown like a golden color and it was beautiful.
"That's a beautiful name for a beautiful girl" she giggled at me.
I watched curiosity fill her eyes as she stared at mine.
"Your eyes are pretty"
My eyes began to water at her purity and innocence. Children are the best.
"Thank you beautiful so are yours."
Aiden and I took her to the backyard as his brother looked for daycares for they young girl. Saniah played with the toys and on the swings I had built for my nephew Kade.
"She literally has nothing. All her stuff was burned in the fire including the one parent she had. We spoke to her father and he said he would send money for her but couldn't take her in because he has another family that has no idea he has another child."

I didn't say anything at first I just let the words Aiden said to me settle in my head.
"Don't worry about it. I'm gonna help jasper with this child. I don't want her to grow up like me. With pretty much nobody to take care of her"

Saniah came running into Aiden jumping in his lap.
"I like it here uncle Aiden" he smiled and kissed her head.
She began playing with his fingers amazed at how big they are compared to hers. I knew exactly what to do in that moment.
"Saniah... I'm Eliah. You can call me El. Do you want to go somewhere special?" Her eyes lit up and she nodded quickly.
"Take care of jasper. I'm taking her out for a bit so he has time to relax and think." Aiden made a face and shook his head.
"I don't think that's a good idea-"
"We'll be fine. Just ice cream and shopping. I have my nephews car seat in my car" I walked away with Saniah before he could say anything else.
Our first stop was the nail salon. I let her get her nails and toes done and light pink so jasper wouldn't kill me. Then the hair salon. They gave her and I a good wash and style but I told them no heat for her because she's young and I didn't want them to hurt her. Then came the best part... shopping. I took her to any store she wanted to go in and let her pick all her clothes as long as they suited her age and looked nice on her. From Fenti and Gucci to Rainbows and children's place. Shoes clothes accessories an iPad things for the guest room that I was going to turn into her room for when she's at my house with Jasper. Toys and play sets for the backyard and her room. I went all out and didn't even bat an eyelash. Once she had shopped her little heart out I took her for ice cream like I promised after packing my car to death with the bags. I snuck and got her  chalkboard paint for her walls chalk and a children's makeup play set because she hadn't picked that stuff out. We sat in the ice cream parlor and she told me how she loved cars and superheroes. I had agreed that they were pretty cool and I loved them too. The drive back to my house was filled with me on the phone with a decorator for her room, her telling me her likes and dislikes and me telling him so he'd have the perfect room for her. We stepped out the car and I decided I'd bring her stuff in later after she'd gotten real food and a nap.
"Elia what the hell?" Jasper stormed to me as I stepped into my house. I shut the door and took a step back.
"What's wrong?
"I sleep for an hour and you just take Saniah out the house. Are you crazy? You can't just do that" he yelled. I shrunk back into the door and shook my head.
"I wouldn't hurt her... I just wanted to take her out for fun. She just lived through a traumatic fire and lost her mom" He stepped into my face fuming at my words
" Fun? Are you kidding me-" Zuse stepped between us and pushed jasper out my face.
"Bro relax. Look at her car packed with things for your niece. A home decor van is outside and Saniah is happy as ever. So what she took her out. Eli would never hurt her and you know it. Don't take your stress and anger out on her. She did all this for you and Saniah and didn't complain or hesitate. She went out of her way for you and you're scaring her and making her cry"
I didn't realize I was crying until I wiped my face. I felt Saniahs little body wrap around my legs and hug me.
I gently unwrapped her kissed her head and walked away. I went up to my room and slid down the wall. I locked the door and slammed it shut just as jasper came upstairs.
"I'm sorry baby. I was just worried and stressed and I took it out on you. I appreciate all of this that you did and I hope you forgive me." I. Listened to him slide down the other side of the door. I knew he could hear my sniffles and muffled sobs.
I just wanted to help.
I'm not sure how long we sat with the door between us but It was getting dark when I got up. Aiden and Zuse said they had fed Saniah and put her to bed downstairs in the basement with Axel. My stomach was beginning to eat itself and I needed to shower. I quietly unlocked the door to my room and twisted the knob. I didn't need to pull it open because jaspers weight did it for me. He slid through the door and was just laying on the floor. Half his body was in my room the other half in the hallway. I decided that I would get food and take my shower before waking him up. I ate 2 slices of pineapple pizza from the box that was left in the oven for warmth. My shower was short and sweet. I threw on some shorts and a tank top then went to wake Jasper. I leaned over the top of his head so he was upside down in a way.
"Jasper wake up" I said running my fingers the his soft hair. He didn't even move or stir.
"Jasper get up" I said a little louder pushing him a little which seemed to work.
Slowly he woke up and looked at me. For a few minutes he didn't say anything or move. He just looked at me.
"I'm sorry" he sighed closing his eyes again. I was mad at him still so I didn't tell him It was okay. It wasn't.
"Come on" I said rubbing my face with my hands. We got up off the floor and got into my bed. For a while we just lied down together. We said nothing. Just enjoyed each others presence. He was on one side of the bed and I was on the other. He was on his phone laying on his back and I was just watching him quietly.
"Can I lay on you?" I asked looking at him. He didn't speak there was no need to. He just opened his arms to me. I climbed into him straddling him. I let my head fall softly onto his chest and he circled his arms around me going back into his phone. I watching him scroll through Instagram liking random pictures and occasionally leaving comments. Just as I was falling asleep on him his phone pinged. I cracked open my eyes a bit and seen something that made me smile.
It was a picture of Saniah in the back on Aidens car stuffing her face with fries and smiling. I closed my eyes and went to sleep.
