Chapter 10

Crystal's POV

I'm still in Cameron's embrace when all of a sudden, all the people around us knelt down. I looked at them confused.

"Hey! Aren't you two gonna bow down? Show some respect to the moon goddess and the sun god!" I heard Peter say through the mic.

I looked at the stage and that's where I saw my parents standing there in all glory. I saw them smile at me and I smiled back. Ace's dad looked at us in confusion.

"Come up the stage with Mason." I heard my mom say in the mindlink.

I nodded and grabbed Cameron's hand then pulled him towards the stage.

"What are you doing?" Cameron asked in the mindlink
"Mom ordered me to go to the stage with you." I answered

All the pack members stared at us as we walked. I can't wait to see their reactions when they find out. I smirked as Cameron and I walked up the stage.

"Stay where you are. Where the hell do the two of you think you're going?!" Ace's dad said running over to us stopping us from coming up the stage. He grabbed both mine and Cameron's arm tightly.

I removed my arm from his grasp glaring at him. Cameron pulled me behind his back.

"The two of you will be punished for not showing any respect to the moon goddess." He added.

"Alpha Peter? Do you mind joining us up here and leave the two of them alone?" My mom said raising her brows at him. He nodded and came up the stage but not without glaring at us first.

"Rise everyone." Mom said. I looked at the pack members as they all rose up. Some started whispering to one another. I know they're talking about us and why we didn't bow down.

I saw Ace and Abby stand up. Ace and I made eye contact, but I looked away quickly.

"Ehem." Mom coughed grabbing everyone's attention and shutting them up. I smiled and chuckled.

"As you all may know, I lost my one and only child many years ago during the first ever ancient war between the rouges and the Purewinter pack. Apparently some news spread out that my first child has been born. So they planned a surprise attack killing most of our pack members since we weren't prepared. The others that survived were injured so we had to retreat and hide so we can build the pack again and train them. But at that time I knew that I won't be able to protect my daughter when the rouges plan another attack. So I sent her away when she was still a pup. Away to another pack with her protector. I wanted her to grow up prepared, trained and well-cared. I counted on that pack to treat her like the princess she is, but the exact opposite happened." She stopped and clenched her fists as she glared at every single pack member of. I knew anger was starting to build up 'cause I feel her aura.

Plus she is glowing so it's kinda obvious.

Dad held her hand and pulled her behind him. He kissed her forehead and whispered "I'll take over. Calm down alright?" She nodded and stepped back. Dad took a breath and stepped forward.

"As my goddess was saying, our daughter wasn't treated like how she's supposed to be. She was abused, beaten, rejected, mistreated, and even ranked down to an omega." He growled. Mom smacked him in the head.

I snorted. Cameron looked at me weirdly once again. "Do you always laugh when someone is announcing something?" He said. I chuckled.

"Eh not really. It just looks really funny seeing the sun god get smacked in the head by his wife." I explained. He laughed. Then turned back to my parents.

"Why'd you do that?" I hear my dad say in our mindlink with mom.
"Didn't you tell me to calm down? Now why are growling out there like a wild wolf?" Mom replied
"I mean he literally is a wolf so..." I said. Mom looked at me.
"She's right." My dad said. I laughed when I saw her glare at him.

Ahhh couples.

"Anyways, I think it's time to call you up here honey." She suddenly said. "Are you ready sweetheart?" My dad asked. "I've been waiting for this so let's do it." I said confidently. They both smiled at me. And I can tell that they're proud

"May I please call in Crystal Moon and Cameron Sandler up here?" Dad said.

I looked at Cameron and held out my hand. "Shall we?" I asked smiling at him. He held my hand and smiled at me. "This is really happening." He whispered. "You go first." He added. I raised my eyebrow.

"Why don't you go first?!" I said. He chuckled. "Your name was called before mine so you go up there." He replied. "That makes no sense. And why does it matter on who goes first??" I asked crossing my arms. "Exactly! It doesn't matter so you go first." He smirked.

"You-"
"Are you two childish wolves gonna come up here or are you gonna keep arguing about who walks up here first?" Mom said cutting me off. I looked at her then glared at Cameron

I walked up the stage, Cameron walking behind me. Once again everyone started to whisper to one another.

"Ehem."

Once we got up the stage, Mom and dad bowed down to both of us. Cameron and I looked at them confused while everyone was in shock.

"Rise please. Why are you bowing down to us?" I said kneeling down pulling both of them up.

Cameron bowed down and I looked at him. "Why are you bowing down as well?" I asked.

"They're still the king and queen." Cameron said. Mom shook her head and said "Rise. You don't have to bow down to us." Cameron stood up and thanked them.

I looked at my parents and smiled.

"Hi mom. Hi dad." I said making sure that every pack member hears me. I hear gasps here and there, but I don't care.

Every member of the Darkmoon pack started talking to each other but this time, it's much louder than before. I see some unfamiliar faces smiling, so I'm thinking that they're the members of the Purewinter pack.

"Everyone quiet!" Ace's dad yelled.  I looked at him confused, not because he told everyone to be quiet, but it's because of the way he ordered them. I didn't feel the aura of an alpha when he yelled. And that's definitely not normal. It looks like Cameron noticed that too.

Alpha Peter looked at us and stomped his way over here like a little child. I smirked

"You! Who the hell do you think you are? You think you can disrespect the king and queen in front of everyone and get away with it? Apologize and show proper respect, you bitch!" He yelled about to slap me but dad held his arm

"And who the hell do you think you are disrespecting my daughter?" He whispered tightening his grip on Alpha Peter's arm. He knelt down as he screamed in pain

No one said a thing. Not even Ace and Abby.

I just stared at him and looked at mom when I saw her walking towards him. She held out her hand in front of Ace's dad. When he's about to take it, she pulled it away and slapped him.
