Illumination is a crucial torture. So, is this is the real truth?  That light and heat didn’t go on well with me? If so, I am begging you to leave me in the dark side of the Sun, hide me in the dark please for that’s the only place for my eternal survival.~BK

The spotlight sparks its bright light towards the hi-tech constructed stage, there he was, standing with full pride facing the back, away from the crowd’s zone while holding the custom made microphone with glittering carat of jewels of “Humanoid” wordings written on it. This time with his black trench coat off, Bill was getting all prepared to rock the night out but somehow all of those little weird events he had encountered that morning distracted him from giving his full attention to the rehearsal.

“Whoa, Whoa, they’re telling me it’s beautiful, I believe them but will I ever know, the world behind my wall..” sang beautifully by the gorgeous rockstar of the band. As he reached in the middle verse of the song, Bill had the courage to take off his aviator, letting his eyes to have a direct contact with the stage spotlight, like he always did. That burning spec of light glared its luminous light and it went straight into his brown chestnut dazzling pair of eyes causing a critical pain in the iris and pupil. He immediately shut the world of his sight with both hands as the pain was just too far, out of reach for him to withstand. Everyone stopped as Bill went down on his knees trying so hard to bear the pain that had put him down. The guitarist of the band let loose of his guitar and without a second to waste, he went straight towards the singer who was in deep pain so as it was seen.

“Bill, are you doing okay?” His caring brother, Tom seemed to have concerned over Bill’s weird condition since the very day he was nowhere to be found in the city and appeared all of sudden from his disappearance.

“My eyes, my eyes, I can’t stand the light!” Bill claimed as he still had his hands covering his precious eyes. The spotlight was very bright indeed and no one would have thought that Bill couldn’t face it.

“Guys, turn off the spotlight!” shouted Tom while he bent down to have a check on his only little brother. As the management agreed to shut down the main power of the spotlight, the stage arena was set to be dimmed with only a few fluorescent lights were switched on.

“What’s up with Bill?” Georg came forward with the bass still hanging on his shoulder to join Bill and Tom.

“Yo, Bill! There’s no more spotlight, you can open your eyes now.” Tom informed Bill that they have switched off the shining bright spotlight just for the sake of him. In a slow motion, Bill removed his fingers one by one from covering and slowly he opened his eyes. With that less diffusion of light passing through his eyes, Bill seemed to be all fine, no slight of pain to have attacked his inner cell of eyes.

“I’m good, all good now.” Bill maintained a dashing posture as he stood up and acted all cool like it wasn’t that weird to be hiding from the spotlight.

“Dude, he’s doing it again.” Georg reminded Tom about Bill’s sudden strange behaviour.

“I know.” Tom whispered back to Georg while eyeing on Bill and with confusion written all over his face.

“Erm, shall we continue?” Bill kindly asked to all.

“Are you sure you’re alright?” Tom asked him with full curiosity.

“Yeah.” A simple answer was given but that didn’t satisfy Tom enough.

“You sure?” He asked again.

“Do I look like I’m not okay, now? No, right?” Bill assured his brother with a grin.

“Really, really, sure?” Tom couldn’t stop asking as he was very worried to see his own blood acting all strange like a maniac drunken and high rock star.

For someone whom  dislike to be in an enrage mode got into a furious state out of reason was way beyond extraordinary because yelling would be Bill’s next action. “Oh Mein Gott, Ja Tom! Yes! I said, I’m fine! Can’t you understand that?” Guess, his temper was boiling assuming Tom’s series of questions annoyed him like a lot.

“What the hell, Bill? You don’t need to yell at me!” Tom fired back seeing Bill mad at him for paying a little care attention to his own little twin brother.

As Tom was facing the alter ego of Bill, he saw something in Bill’s eyes. “Does a feeling of anger made Bill’s eyes turned from brown chestnut to ruby red? Is it me or am I just hallucinating?” That particular question bothered Tom at that exact moment. He just stared deeply into his twin’s eyes with an inquisitive mind and when Bill met his gaze, Tom felt he should back off and do whatever Bill says.

“Tom, you get what I mean. So go back to your spot and let’s continue with the rehearsal.” That Jedi-mind trick of Bill’s made Tom lose focus like he was being hypnotized. A few seconds later, he gave up and went back to his spot, at the same time, pulling Georg by his shirt to get him move back to his spot.

“Let’s continue as whatever he said.” Tom didn’t exactly realize that he forced himself to follow the lead singer's order.

“But not too bright  on the spotlight please, danke.” Bill flashed an angelic smile to everyone who witnessed his out of mind demand. The sound check ran smoothly as Bill has instructed, dimmed spotlight is in sight as the brightness of the light was being adjusted only for the rock star’s desire.

Nothing would stop the media from clicking the snap button to take photos of the hottest German rock band around with their DSLR cameras. Hence, flashes after flashes were seen to be burst everywhere in that one particular banquet room of a posh hotel where Bill and his band mates would have their media conference right after the sound check on the same day. The minute they entered the room, flashes and more flashes were being produced right in front of their eyes. With his aviator on, Bill thought he could be saved from having the intensity of light coming into his eyes but how unlucky he was. Too many lights went through his eyes for only a few hours time. The flashes of camera kept coming through his aviator, making him to have the pain like he was about to get blind. His eyes were burning like hell and it seemed to have put him down again. Bill saw lots of flashing lights and with a one big flash, his eyes were shut tight and in just a blink of an eye, he couldn’t see anything at all, anymore.
