"Now what?" Steve asked as he followed me through the halls.

I rushed about, trying to find my suit, that is probably pretty damaged after being chopped up like in a blender and all. It'll be a pain to fix after that terrible beating.

"We go after Loki. Meet up at my place or ya know, Stark Tower. There I'll have a little chat with my guest, who is undoubted there right now. And you guys will come-"

"Guys? It's just me."

"Fury said that Romanoff is nursing Barton, I think that was the mind control guy, back to health. So you'll get them and come a couple minutes late, then we'll wait for the rest show up."

"The rest?"

"You go get Romanoff, I'll repair my suit. And you ask for a jet. That might be helpful."

"Wait," Steve said, grabbing my arm as I turned away, "You asked earlier why I was jealous of you and Banner."

"Look, Cap. Noes not really the time. We gotta go-"

"There might not be another time. I learned that the hard way. And I just wanted to say that I was jealous of you because I cared. I cared for you."

He placed both of his hands on my arms.

"Ever since you I met you back at the base two weeks ago, I couldn't get my mind off you. The girl who snapped at me and then fell down in her heels."

"You saw that?"

He laughed a little, "Yeah. But you have always been at the back of my mind. And when I thought I was over you, this whole crazy thing happened and you flew back in and stole all my thoughts. Why do you think I was so awkward? You stole my mind, Torri Stark. Now let me try to steal yours. Please?"

Before I could answer, Steve leaned in, closer an closer till we were barely centimeters apart.

"Just give me a chance," he whispered, "Please."

He then pushed his lips on mine, in a soft, forward motion.

It wasn't a long kiss, but it was the best I could ask for. Short, but sentimental.

Seconds later, he pulled back.

"What'd ya say? Will you give an old-fellow like me a chance?"

I couldn't help it. I let out a laugh.

"Oh, oh no. You're laughing. That's not good."

"No," I said happily, "It's great. And yes, I will gladly give the Star-Spangled-Man a chance."

I wrapped my arms around his neck, as he put his around my waist.

"Thank you," he whispered.

"For what?" I replied, then pushed my lips onto his.

Though this kiss lasted only seconds longer, it was just as good, maybe even better than the first.

When we parted, Steve said, "Id better go get-uh- Romanoff, and uh, maybe Barton. If he's feeling better, maybe."

"Uh, yeah. I'll just fix my suit."

He walked away, occasionally turning back and giving me the sweetest smile ever.

Geez! Why did I not notice how good-looking his was earlier?

Like seriously.

This Star-Spangled-Man is my jam, dude!
