Reaching for Eliet

Save me Eliet!!!

I hope all of you liked the first chapter now here is another one. it took me a couple of hours so hope you enjoy it. Don't forget to vote!!! and ill try to write as fast as I can. Comment if you have any suggestions and thanks  for those of you who became my fan :) hope you like it........ --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chapter 2:   The next day my parents brought Eliet to his house to get all his thing's and he couldn't step in the house without thinking of what he had lost. Tears would come out his eyes and he would run back to the house. My parents waited a couple of weeks until he was able to go inside to get his thing's.    At night he would wake up screaming because he was dreaming of his parents death and the only way he would be able to go back asleep is if I were there. My parents wondered why he could only sleep with me around and they figured it out, I was the last good memory he had. My parents didn't want me to loose my sleep so they decided that he would sleep in my room and when he would wake up from a bad dream I would remind him that it's ok to be sad and  I use to tell him "your mommy and daddy are somewhere were you cant reach or see them but their here, still with you" and I tapped his chest, showing  him were his heart is.

March 13th 1989 was a very important day. It's Eliet's birthday. After what happen to his parents he didn't talk to anyone. Most of the time I would get what he was trying to say or he would write it down in a notebook. My parents were worried because he stoped speaking so they hired several therapist but none would work and doctors that told my parents to give him antidepressant pills. Mom and dad were thinking of what to do for Eliet's birthday and I suggested that we would camp out on the backyard because he loves looking at the sky. When we came home from school me and Eliet weren't aloud in the backyard because they weren't finished decorating for his birthday. I was waiting impatiently in my room with Eliet who didn't have a clue on what me my mom and dad were up to. I stared at the clock for what felt like hours and finally at 6:30 my parents called us down and my dad said "Eliet, Today is your birthday and we all wanted to make it special...." mom said "So we are going to camp out in the backyard and we have a surprise for you too." we all walked to the backyard and Eliet wondered what was the surprise . There was a blanket in the floor and there was a cake on top, we couldn't use a table because the back yard is a little steep and there were two tents and a wrapped present for him next to the cake. He ran to it  with excitement and ripped it open so fast .It was a telescope "we bought this so that you could look more closely at what's up there " my mom said with joy while watching him  over joyed about his gift and he hugged my mom and she kneeled down and hugged him. She whispered in his ear "we love you Eliet" and he was shocked at first but then he was happy that he has people who care for him. At 8:00 Pm he used the telescope to watch the stars and he was so amazed at everything he saw and he let me see through it. I gasped, The sky was so beautiful up close. Eliet and I went up stairs to take the telescope to the room because I wanted to play ball and when we went upstairs I opened the cabinet were I hid my present for him and while he was putting it away  I grabbed my present and hoped he liked it. I hugged him from behind and said "Happy birthday Ellie, I hope you like it, it took me a long time to make it." he hold the peace of paper in his hand, It was a drawing of all of us. "Do you like it? that's mom and dad and this is me and you" he nodded his head saying yes. I was so happy that I hugged him tight and said "I love you Ellie" he smiled so much he was turning red and I let go and grabbed the ball and we ran to the backyard. We ran around throwing the ball at each other while laughing .where ever we were as long as we were together we were happy. Mom and dad called us so that Eliet could blow the candles. we sat down in the grass and my mom said "what are you going to wish for Eliet?" and he looked at her and smiled. He blew the candles and we all cheered and ate cake. Mom didn't want us to run with a full stomach so we sat down while playing ball. We through the ball at each other and then he rolled it to me and it started rolling down. I ran as fast as I can because I saw that the gate door was open and I didn't want it to roll over there .Eliet ran  towered me and I went to the street to pick up the ball. A bright light appeared and I looked and it was a car. Eliet screamed "Starla!" and he gripped me and pushed me out of the way. The cars wheels screeched and then stopped. When I opened my eyes I was in Eliet's arms and he didn't want to let go of me.my parents ran to me while screaming my name. "Are you ok Starla? "mom said while crying and kissed my forehead. "Mom I was so scared" I said with tears in my eyes. I turned my head and hugged Eliet and  I whispered "Thank you" and  he rapped his arm's around me while saying "I will always protect you" my mom was astonished when Eliet talked and hugged us both. My father hugged me and Eliet and they told us to go wait in our tent. My mom and dad went to go talk to the stranger who nearly killed me. Me and Eliet walked while holding hands. We left the tent wide open to see the sky and I was scared but while holding Eliet's hand I felt much better.A hour past and my parents came back and looked inside our tent and found us sleeping close together while holding hands and they smiled and kissed both our forheads and went to sleep in there tents.
